About this listen
Dane Golden - best friend. Temptation in football cleats. Roommate?
I’m screwed.
His followers don’t call him Pretty Boy D for nothing. The guy is, literally, God’s gift to women. I should know. I’ve watched chicks throw themselves at him since puberty.
Sharing his loft should be simple. Easy. But shortly after I settle in, we realize being "just friends" was so much easier when we weren’t sleeping under the same roof.
Seven years of thinking we had this down to a science goes out the window the night Dane sees my “Never Have I Ever” list. Now, he’s on a mission to help me cross off the top four items. Some of which aren’t quite as innocent as he’d expect.
What he’s proposing will break the rules we agreed to when I first came to stay here. He wants me to give in, to let my guard down, and face my feelings for once. At least, that’s what that wicked look in his eyes and the mounting heat between us suggests.
This isn’t how I imagined being roommates would go. But a girl can only stare temptation in its green eyes for so long and not weaken.
My best friend wants to have his way with me, and, right or wrong...I think I might let him.
Pretty Boy D is a full-length stand-alone novel. This book can absolutely be heard on its own, but when you’re done, it’s recommended that you check out more from the Golden triplets and Joss in the complete enemies-to-lovers trilogy Kings of Cypress Prep.
Do you enjoy the frustratingly hot push and pull of a good-friends-to-lovers or roommates-to-lovers romance? Then you’ll love getting to know Dane and Joss. Due to adult themes and sexual situations, this one’s only for the 18+ crowd. Expect an HEA and no trigger warnings needed.

Great story and characters
This is my first in this series, and I think it would've been better if I'd either read or listened to Blu and Wests story beforehand. But, with that being said, I was quickly brought up to speed and fell HARD for both Joss and Dane. Both are amazing characters, with such a believable and very human issues - I reckon. Dane is my new favorite book-boyfriend, so sweet, attentive and loyal. This is a great story, which I highly recommend.
The mix of the three narrators is impeccable, they did a great job and I enjoyed their way of bringing the characters to life.

Story
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I have read/listened to the first three books in this series, and while I don’t think any couple can top blue and West for me, I really enjoyed this story.
We get to see a small glimpse of Joss and Dane in the other books and it was nice to take a dive into their own story. There are some ups, downs, and frustrations for sure, but totally worth it!
The narrations was amazing, I could listen to them all day.
I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request, and have voluntarily left this review.

My Thoughts on Pretty Boy D
This friends-to-lovers story ended up being everything I hoped for and more. Dane was gentle, and supportive and just solid. He felt deeply and his devotion and dedication to Joss was unshakable. This story was a good contrast to the previous three books in the series even though I loved those too. Joss was a great character too and getting to peek into her head so much really helped to understand why she helped back for so long. Their story had an excellent flow and immensely satisfying ending.
I truly enjoyed the narration on this one as well. Angela Peen was a new to me voice but I was impressed. I even liked her guy tone. Blake Lockheart and Sarah Puckett were also fantastic. I’ve loved them in plenty of other books and getting them as more of Pandora and newly as Dane didn’t change how much I loved them in the slightest.

Best Friends to Lovers?
My favorite trope comes into play in this series Joss my favorite character and Dane finally get their story told. Best friends since the age of twelve their feelings for each other reach their peak. Family issues with Joss is a big part of this book her father is a piece of crap and her mother is no better because she basically has no voice. An ultimatum forces Joss to make a decision that alters her present and could be the start of a beautiful future. Love this series cannot wait to see where the series goes next with Sterling.

I flat out loved this book so much. The characters were so entertaining and the chemistry was just plain scorching hot. I loved the way they worked together and how well they fit once they moved past the push and pull.
The narration was fantastic the narrators gave so much extra depth and personality to the characters it was just a joy to listen to.

Pretty Good
Dane is living the Golden life and then what he wants most in the world moves in with him. Joss decides she is no longer following her father and moves in with Dane. Things are going good until he finds her bucket list and decides to fulfill her wishes. This leads to more than they each could expect which leads to drama and as always, the whole Golden crew is there for it all.

Entertaining Friends to Lovers Romance
Having listened to the first three books in the Kings of Cypress Pointe series and thoroughly enjoyed them, I was all for diving into this friends to lovers romance about Joss and Dane, who have been best friends since they were twelve, but have never crossed the line.
There were parts of this story I absolutely loved and then parts that I didn't love, but overall I did find the story overall enjoyable. I loved Joss and Dane's friendship and how close they were. I adored how much Dane cared for Joss and how he just wanted to go all in with her and how confident he was in them being together. I enjoyed the scenes in the story that involved Joss hanging out with Blue.
I am not a huge fan of games or anything even remotely manipulative so the parts of the story related to Dane, his manager, and his other relationship definitely weren't my favorite, and while I understood Joss's hesitation for starting a relationship with Dane, the longer she held out, the more I think it reflected negatively on her and the less I found myself wanting to root for them.
I did still really enjoy the story and I do really like these characters. I cannot wait to finally get Sterling's story and I absolutely love Pandora. The audiobook was extremely well done. Angel Pean, Blake Lockheart and Sarah Pucket all tdid a wonderful job with this story and I would highly recommend them all. #PinkFlamingoProductions #TheFlock

great!
well, i was looking forward to this, and it didn't disappoint! brilliant writing. i loved the 1st 3 and this was as good, minus the deep drama of blue's story, which is a plus point for me. the narration was faultless. i loved angel's tones, sarah's naughtiness in her role, and blake is HOT HOT HOT. looking forward to mr. silver!!!!
