Amazing book. Dark but a great read
I love this book. Narrator is great in my opinion, I was hooked very fast. Can't wait for the rest of the series to be realised.

Nico and Ari!
Arianne has been shielded her whole life not only about her family but the truth about the past and her future. Although there are restrictions in place, she is finally getting the chance to spread her wings and attend college. One night changes everything and when Nico comes her aid their fate is sealed and neither of their lives will ever be the same.
Nico has been groomed since he was a child to assume control of the mafia family. He has always done what is expected of him until Ari as he knows that being with the daughter of a rival family could end in bloodshed for all but if the choice comes down to love or loyalty everyone in his life might just be surprised by the outcome.
The heat between them is intense and the depth of their love knows no bounds but with so many forces against them they are in for the battle of their lives. What a start!
I love a forbidden romance. I love a mafia romance. I love first times. And I love LA Cotton. Each of her books is original and has such a great story that it's impossible to stop listening! This one has so much in it, I don't even know where to begin. Arianne is the Capizola heir and to keep her protected, her father has a watchful eye on her. Now at college, she is taken with Nicco Marchetti, and little does she know that their families are enemies. This Romeo and Juliet story had me from the beginning. It's got an innocence that keeps me wanting to keep it that way and the gnawing undertone of danger that provokes me to keep listening just to see what is going to happen. It has characters I love, and others I want to strangle and just when you think it can't get any worse for this couple, the ending happens, leaving me wanting book two to see how it all turns out! Fantastic characters, exciting suspense, just enough angst and a love to end all others, LA Cotton has a winner.
Sarah Puckett and Michael Norman Johnson narrate this gem and together they become Arianne and Nicco. Emotions and frustrations all come through along with that thread of strong love in each of their voices. I am enjoying their performance and look forward to the conclusion!

College Mafia Romance - Retelling of Romeo & Julie
Prince of Hearts: Verona Legacy by L.A. Cotton is a college mafia romance that I listened to audio narrated by Sarah Puckett and Michael Norman Johnson. This is the first book in the Verona Legacy duet.
All I can say is Wow! I absolutely loved this spin on a modern day Romeo and Juliet. Lianne is an amazing writer that just pulls you into her stories. I loved the chemistry between Nicco and Ari and cannot wait for the second book in the series King of Souls to be released on August 11, 2020.
Sarah and Michael did an amazing job on the narration. They both really know how to bring a story to life.
I would highly recommend this story if you love Mafia Romances, College Romances, or modern day twists on the classic of Romeo and Juliet.

Interesting story, great characters
The more I listened to this story the more I got sucked into it. The characters grew on me more and more and by the end...yeah I need to know what happens next. Sarah Puckett and Michael Norman Johnson bring the characters to life beautifully and I can tell just who is who. A couple of the things that happen did really shock me. I hadn't thought that they would happen, but they were in line with the story and true to the character. And they helped to build up the various dynamics between the characters.

Gah!! I love this book so much and need to know what happens next just as much as my next breath! You got your Romeo and Juliet kind of love here that is so consuming that it will leave you in tatters if these two don’t end up together with a perfect ending. I really hope the next part comes out soon.

Amazing 😍😍
Audio review: I just read this book recently but the audio wow it amazing. Michael Johnson so good for Nicco and I always love Sarah Puckett so this story was even better the second time.
Wow I thought Jason would always be my favourite l.a cotton’s character but Nicco is now the winner base on book one. His love for Ari was so sweet and passionate you can’t not love him. The ending of this book, I cannot wait for book two. I hope some revenge is coming and I hope others get stories too especially Nora she my favourite and Bailey.

Swoony Romantic & Suspenseful First Installment
I devoured this first book in less than 24-hours! I could not put it down! These characters are so full of life and emotion! I laughed and cried with them! It's steeped in suspense and action! The relationship between Arianne & Nicco is beautiful and emotional. The author capture first love so well!
And the ending!!! Omg I was left yelling at my phone like a crazy person! I cannot wait for book two!!!!
Sarah Puckett gave another incredible performance and I greatly enjoyed Michael Johnson, it was my first time listening to him.
