Summary

In Quiet, Fearne Cotton explores why so many of us question whether we are, or will ever be, 'good enough'. This beautiful audiobook, filled with Fearne's creative hand-drawn illustrations and thought-provoking activities to still your mind, will silence your inner critic and stop you from continually self-sabotaging.

Quiet includes interviews with people who have helped Fearne to accept her flaws and love her own imperfections as well as advice on how to drown out misinformation and the sometimes pressurising noise from family, work and friends, which can fuel our insecurities and self-doubt.

Fearne talks honestly and openly about what it's like to live in the public eye and shares some of the methods and practical activities she uses to ignore negative online chatter and trolls. She acknowledges the terrifying stats and research linking social media to rising levels of depression, anxiety and other mental health issues in young people and offers advice about how to listen more selectively to what we are told in an era of constant sharing, oversharing and general misinformation about what is 'good' or 'bad' for us.

Stop competing with all the noise out there and accept that Quiet might be your most formidable force yet.

Good, but you need to buy the book too.

To be able to read Fearne's interviews in this book you need the book, she doesn't read them out in the audio book, because of this I thought this audio book was pointless.

Parts missing!!!

incredibly disappointed. Keep being told that interviews and other bits are in a PDF... I don’t want PDF I want to listen to interviews as it’s an audiobook!
Not happy that parts of the audiobook are ‘missing’

Helpful, but incomplete

Brilliant dialogue as always, however, to appreciate it fully you need to read it because there are many PDF documents to accompany it, which you can’t hear.

Honest and inspiring

I've always loved her for being so positive and lovable. Her open and honest attitude in this book is comforting and inspiring. I got through it in 2 or 3 days. I need to check out the PDF still. I enjoyed listening to it. I'd like to listen to her others.

Honest and refreshing

Really love Fearnes books, I really love the way she is so honest about the things she struggles with which was really refreshing to read and much needed in these days of social media where everyones lives look perfect. Would highly recommend to anyone who has personal struggles with mental health or just life in general

Not full book

I love Fearne and her books. Disappointed that there is constant reference to PDFs, that I can't access. So I would need to buy the book and read it. Feel slightly cheated by the audio version of the book.

Audio was an Afterthought

Frustrating listen as so much of the content is in pdf format rather than audio, really compromises flow and potential impact. Great how open author is about own struggles but nothing hugely revelatory.
