Brilliant and helpful, serious but empoweringly positive
This book is brilliantly comprehensive, it guides the reader helpfully through the various issues associated with narcissistic abuse, showing compassion and support through explanations, examples and self-help suggestions. I finished listening to this book in a week so I knew what to expect and focus on as I relisten to it through my own healing journey. The author gently guides the reader towards "post-traumatic-growth" which I found to be perfectly aligned with my reason for reading this book, to transform and transcend my past experiences that have held me in a state of disregulation and anxiety for so many years. I have continually welcomed people into my life that have retraumatised me and I am at a stage now where I refuse to continue that path, I am stronger than that and my life is worth more.
I'm currently undergoing EMDR therapy (explained in this book) and this book has helped me see the connections between the childhood traumas I'm dealing with in therapy and the traumas I've experienced through many long term toxic relationships, which I think will really help my therapy to work more deeply. As a personal insight to anyone reading this who might find this helpful, I see that my responses to the traumas I experienced as a child are the sticking points in my toxic adult relationships, and that the issue (while not my fault) has been that I've not been able to deal healthily or effectively with the situations as an adult to stop them happening, because my response reverts to an unequipped child's state of understanding (the inability to rationally deal with unhealthy/abusive behaviours from others) internalising pain, thinking I deserve it, not understanding how to have boundaries, etc. I'm hoping this will make a lot of things make sense for me going forward in therapy and my healing.
If you suspect you have suffered from any of the terms in this books title, I highly recommend listening to the entire book, and I hope it gives you the insight and guidance you need for your own onward healing journey. With gratitude and appreciation to the author x

An empowering read that improved my perspective.
I've just finished Madison Bright's "Recovery from Narcissistic Abuse" and it's been so enlightening in understanding others' behaviours, especially when there is a historically complex relationship there. It has made me consider some of my behaviours and more importantly, how my relationship with friends and particularly family members has impacted my growth.
It's a powerful listen and you can easily finish it over a couple of days. I'm really glad I took the time to understand what the author is saying and am looking forward to revisiting some of the chapters when I need a reminder.

The author explained different types of Narcissism and similarities and also gave relatable examples which was very educative and had lots if empathy. Also listed useful and safety ways to leave a narcissisic relation, Identifying Values and setting boundaries ... communicating ones boundaries respectfully and learning to say no.
I would recommend this book to everyone. Because we all encounter one narcissistic person in our life time one way or the other.

Narcissism and Narcissist
In this audible by Madison Bright, she explained in details the ill behaviours, its after effects, its consequences, and how to deal with Narcissists behaviour , Narcissists behaviour disorder NPD (either they are your parents or partners).
Whats actually Narcissistic behaviour actually is.
Like lacking empathy. They seem unable or unwilling to have empathy for others, and they appear to have no desire for emotional intimacy. Unrealistic sense of entitlement.
How to survive and thrive after Narcissistic abuse. The techniques and do's and don'ts to recover from it and other abuses mentioned by Madison Bright are really worth listening and helpful.
In the end I must say that it was not at all dry and boring book but in-fact very informative and good to read.

A comprehensive guide to navigating narcissism
This book serves as a guide to any young adult in how to navigate past a traumatic relationship , the author her self being a survivor of trauma provides an in depth analysis into things that work and don't work post seperation. I really enjoyed how she didn't just quote theory but also provided simulations in how to handle a toxic situation.
the narration was above par and the narrator set a decent pace through out the length of the book, futhermore she did an excellent job with the expressions which made the idea of the author alot more apparent.
