Summary
Redemption is the fifth heart-pounding memory man thriller in David Baldacci’s Sunday Times bestselling series.
FBI consultant Amos Decker returns to the scene of a family tragedy, and is confronted by more than just painful memories.
A felon on a mission.
When Decker returns to Burlington, Ohio, he is tracked down by his first homicide arrest, Meryl Hawkins, a man who still maintains his innocence.
A rookie’s mistake.
With Hawkins recently released from his life sentence, Decker finds himself questioning what had once seemed watertight evidence. Is the real killer still out there?
A murderer at large.
As the body count rises in a new crime spree, Decker and his former partner Mary Lancaster dig deeper and reopen the old case – and old wounds.
Back in his home town and plagued by the ghosts of his past, Amos Decker is compelled to discover the confronting truth . . .
The fifth audiobook in the Amos Decker crime series, following the The Fallen. Continue the series with Walk the Wire.
Critic reviews
"A star performance by Kyf Brewer and Orlagh Cassidy should push this audiobook to the top of every thriller fan’s must-hear list. As a result of being hit on the head, Amos Decker, portrayed by Brewer, can remember everything that ever happened to him, complete with emotions. Brewer owns Decker’s intensity. He gives the character great focus and a steely resolve to find out whether the late Meryl Hawkins, a man he convicted of murdering four people 13 years earlier, was truly guilty. Cassidy tackles every female character with precision and care. Her take on Mary Lancaster, Decker’s former partner, showcases her abilities with the pregnant pause and perfect pacing. Together they create a presentation second to none and provide supercharged entertainment." (AudioFile)

Another winner
Just love this series and the characters. The story is once again strong and twists through out. The only thing I feel was missing was the lack of the FBI team, this is very Decker based.

AMOS GETS NEW VOICE!
Why change Amos’s voice back too original from book 1, having got used to the sharp, high one we’ve become accustomed too till now, which suited the complex geeky character of Decker’s quirky nature. It’s virtually a low Texan drawl. Overall 8/10

another good Memory Man story
Narration in this, especially Orlagh Cassidy, was excellent. Kyf Brewer is a good replacement for Ron McLarty as he maintains the Amos voice. Was a bit confused by all the characters names at times and their relationships but overall I enjoyed this one.

A Baldacci belter!
This is my 3rd David Baldacci novel now, after being gifted ‘A Minute to Midnight’ by my wife for my last birthday. Having been a fan of Lee Child and Scott Mariani and their subsequent character leads Jack Reacher and Ben Hope, I’ve now added Amos Decker to my list of admirable and life-chiseled investigative crime solvers. Atlee Pine (A Minute to Midnight- Baldacci) is in the same league. Redemption, in this instance means many things within the pages of this book and each road we travel on to find it, is intriguing and exciting. Amos Decker is supported by interesting and wounded friends and colleagues who all enrich the storyline. A great listen, particularly if you enjoy this genre.

Another excellent Amos Decker
I am predisposed as I like the series and know the main characters but really this is another great pacey story that I really enjoyed.
the 2 narrator's can be jarring at the start and I still don't like the music intro but once you get over that is a great book.
