Beautifully written

A wonderful descriptive journey following Carol’sreturn to the Olive farm. Carol’s reading of the book really brings alive her life in France. Definitely worth a read. Would love to read an update soon

Not as good as The Olive Farm but worth the read

I didn't enjoy some parts of the book because I felt as though the author was on a bit of a rant. Although I heartily agree with her sentiment, it was not a relaxing read, as was expecting. However, the latter part of the book was good.

When C D is at her best, her writing is poetic. The latter part of the book lived up to this.

An absolute joy to listen to and escape to

Detailed but rewarding, someone who is able to weather life's storms and nature's tests with triumph, humour, honesty and beauty

Easy Listening

What made the experience of listening to Return to the Olive Farm the most enjoyable?

It's so easy to listen to Carol's voice, knowing that it's her own story that she's narrating.

What other book might you compare Return to the Olive Farm to, and why?

I've loved reading all of Carol's books, this is the first one that I listened to, and thoroughly enjoyed.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

The passion with which Carol lives life is inspiring - she feels deeply and expresses herself well. One can't help be moved by what moves her, as she expresses it so vividly.

Any additional comments?

My only reticence with this review is the amount of time that seemed to be devoted to 'darkus', a pesky olive fly. Whilst happy to support Carol's campaign for a better, greener world, I'd have preferred fewer tales about this annoying fly and more about the wonderful characters and scenes from everyday life in Provence.

That said, I listened all the way through and loved it! Am just thinking about downloading another ...!

Such an eye-opening and interesting read

Listening to this second of two extremely well-writing books, read by Carol herself, is a real treat… I was THERE!! 🐝🍃🫒🐾🐾🍷

Loved it!

Another evocative telling of life in Southern France. This time Carol is dealing with the challenges of organic farming and changing mindsets.
