She arrived in England in 1949 when much of Britain was a culinary wasteland, married an Englishman, and stayed on. While bringing up her children, she wrote books that inspired a new generation of cooks.

Wonderful!

I choose this book on a compete whim. I didn't know who Anna was at all. Such a wonderful memoir full of fascinating observances and recipes . It's is beautifully written, perfectly read and captivating. Looking forward to trying her recipes

I didn't want this book to end.

I was emersed into Anna's world from the start to the finish. Beautiful book...I just didn't want it to end.
