The story:

With planets being dragged into the warp seemingly at a whim, the threat to Chettamandey’s legacy is dire, and only she can avert potential disaster.

Best 40k Book Since Eisenhorn!
As soon as I saw the cover art and synopsis of this novel I expected great thing's, needless to say I wasn't disappointed! This book is a perfect window into the murky politics and inner workings of the imperium of man. The plot keeps you hooked with very believable and occasionally funny characters with some amazing twists and turns! Overall I would wholeheartedly recommend this novel!!!

Strong characters with compelling backgrounds and likable personalities! Great minority representation that was written well into the story. Underlined the human emotions whilst still remaining true to the scifi fantasy! ❤️

Very good.
*no spoilers.
If you are looking for more 40k military and space battle kind of boks, this is not it.
It's generally a bit of a murder/mystery book where you follow three characters. I will say that the darker of these three characters are a bit typical for his role, but the other two was very enjoyable. Especially having an older, and somewhat physically weak character as the main character was refreshing in a Warhammer book.
You can probably get into this book with little knowledge of 40k, as it is fairly self contained.
You get an insight of the structures and politics of navigator families, mutations, and a bit more insight to the workings of the void/chaos. One of the better 40k books I have read, and I recommend it for those interested.

Really brings the navigator houses to life
Excellent story, lots of intrigue and good details. A cook look into the Navis Nobilite. Good narrator too
