Summary

Rock & Sand is a large treasure of commonsense wrapped in a little package. Every business leader and business owner would benefit from this wonderfully simple approach to the complex world of business strategy and performance. A powerful resource that, once listened to, is a killer template for anyone looking to drive their business and grow their team.

Using the simple visual analogy of "moving rocks" and "pushing sand", the author creates a model that helps business owners, executives, and entrepreneurs understand the connection between strategy and execution while giving guidance on what to do about it.

It's easy to follow, compelling, and very practical. Better yet, listeners won't get caught up in case studies or examples that are interesting but not applicable to their situation.

Rock & Sand takes business strategy and execution down to its essence and links them together. The "rock and sand" model challenges the "myth" of strategic complexity and simplifies its execution, paving the way to business growth. It's a book that is long overdue. It takes business strategy and execution down to its essence and links them together. The model challenges the "myth" of strategic complexity and simplifies its execution, paving the way to business growth.

This premium edition of Rock & Sand includes 12 tools for implementing the model in your organization. Included is the baseline growth roadmap™ and 11 other tools from Gravitas Impact premium coaches, each accompanied by an instructional chapter authored by a premium coach.

Succinct and useful

I value books that cut to the chase. Too many drag out into 8+ hours a principle that could be condensed into a couple. This book is well worth buying to learn some valuable principles. The only reason I down vote it is because at times I felt I was being pitched at which I didn't enjoy. Overall I would recommend this and try not to be annoyed by pitches for gravitas and it's associates
