About this listen
Jon Ryan has some unfinished business. Lots of unfinished business, in fact.
Since he caused the universe to reboot, well, he can't seem to find his wife of two billion years. That's one great big oops. He also can't find the massive time ship Aramthella and her human crew. Double oops. And then there's the matter of not knowing whey why there are several copies of key people in the new reality he must navigate. Triple oops. He actually knows one whole heck of a lot less about his current situation than seems healthy. But he's Jon Ryan, former fighter pilot turned android warrior for humankind. All things considered, he's not too worried, so don't you be either.
Even before Jon can begin to resolve the stack of woes he's already got, he and the much younger version of him both start receiving dream-based cries for help from a previously unknown leviathan species. Why can't people just pick up the phone and call nowadays? Just as the Jons learn of this call to action, they begin to come under fire from some mysterious energy bursts, barely escaping with their lives. It would seem someone objects to their involvement in the hunting of the behemoths of time. Turns out that if you're a Jon Ryan, nothing is simple, and nothing is ever straightforward. Oh, bother.
Can the elder Jon find his lost mate? Will either Jon live long enough to even find the space whales in distress? And can anyone alive figure out why the universe rebooted in the first place? I mean, it's not your everyday occurrence... is it? So many questions... so many Jons. Bumps in the road seem likely.
Join the Jon Ryans and their team—Toño ... er, the other Toño, a couple of Sapales, and one each of Miguel Cervantes, his flaky wife Dominica, and Dontiqui. Remember her? She's the Kaljaxian rebel leader who died saving Jon and Sapale way back when. Yeah, this story's complicated. But it's also a screaming blast! Join up, join in, and revel in the fun as the Ryanverse expands faster than might be allowed by either reason or science!

It’s another fantastic asJon Ryan adventure
I expect nothing but excellence from this author and narrator powerhouse and as per usual I’m not disappointed. I love and will absorb anything Ryan-verse. Please keep them coming

least favourite instalment
love the series but this instalment was pretty meh. I think it lacks a strong adversary. Pervious book was about a flying building that essentially was destroyed in the last few minutes of the book and felt like an afterthought, this time it's like a giant whale that hasn't really had any screen time yet, no real setup. It's too much about relationships that are hard to keep track of and not enough action. it's also tough to like John after he destroyed the universe and still acts like a child getting laid up until the last seconds of the book. it's a bit over the place, sorry not a fan of this one.

Series has run out of steam
Very much in the style of the many previous books. Scott (the narrator) is, as usual, outstanding. His acting skills are superb. However… there are more and more inconsistencies creeping into the plot caused by either careless or hasty writing. Understandable perhaps in a series that has time travel at its core. The humour is no longer fresh and is replaying the same tropes: AI squabbles, semantic mix-ups. The rebooted Jon Ryan is an increasingly wimpish, ignorant character who you will want to meet an untimely accident - not a good look for your hero. Craig, I love the body of your work but this last series is not very good and will not tempt me into buying the next instalment; Sorry.

slow start, but picks up pace at the end
I found it hard to care about all the new characters from the previous story line. But this time around I feel we are going back to the roots. And I like that. The story picks up slow and takes about 3/4th to wrap up everything from the last storyline. I made a sigh of relief when that was done and our beloved characters were back hunting for something mysterious.

Half hearted drivel
After so many well crafted adventures by this author it’s a shock to suddenly get this lazily gathered drivel. Strange drunken style ravings has this guy had a brain fart? A completely different approach, style, tone of voice and outcome. Perhaps it was written by a 10 year old.

Love the Series, Hate the new books
The author doesn't even bother to tell an actual story before he ends this one. It's simply an introduction. There is no arc completed, it's just a series of reintroductions to the characters. I'd be ashamed to publish this short story, let alone sell it as a book. I really feel cheated.
