About this listen
Walker Roberts is a lost man. One fateful night, his entire life was turned upside-down. First, he was turned down by the young man he’d been gathering up the nerve to ask out for two years, and then he lost both his parents. Not only that, he discovers his life is not what he thought it was. At 34, how could he not know the truth about his family? Unable to cope, he walks away from the life he’d built for himself, only to discover his ties to Sulfur Springs might be stronger than he realized.
Tristan Stone is the youngest and most junior man on the Sulfur Springs Fire Department, making him the probie. His crew is amazing, and he’s watched one of his closest friends from high school fall in love with his lieutenant. So, why does he feel like he’s missing something? He’d thought he’d done well with hiding his attraction to the very straight Captain Walker Roberts, but has he? Without warning, Captain Roberts disappears in the middle of the night, and Tristan realizes just how much he misses the older man once he’s gone. Is he coming back?
Tragedy strikes in Sulfur Springs and one of their own is caught in the chaos. Will Walker return in time to save the young man he’s silently watched for so long?
Saving My Sanity is the third book in the Sulfur Springs series. This is a Men of Crooked Bend spin-off, but it isn’t a requirement that you know that series to enjoy this one. Familiar faces will be seen, but this series takes you off of the ranch and into the lives of those in Sulfur Springs. While each book will focus on a different couple, you should listen to them in order. Each book contains sexually explicit material between two men and is intended for adults over 18.

Love Overcomes All
Saving My Sanity is the third book in the Sulphur Springs series. It should be read after the first two books.
This is a contemporary romance centered around two firefighters who are both managing some difficult family issues. I really liked this book, especially how both men have to support each other and overcome some serious family dysfunction. There were a lot of sweet moments in between all the angst and drama. The audiobook was narrated by Michael Dean who does a great job with the performance. The audiobook production was well done.

A great narrative
I really enjoyed the angst and the level of emotion through out the book. Pauley has given a delightful voice to these characters. I did find myself lost in this little world and was amazed that it was over when I felt I had just started.

Great Listen
This is a really great listen. I thought the explanation and resolution of Walker's parentage was rushed through and I still had questions, but the relationship between he and Tristan was well developed. I absolutely loved the way the team came together and supported each other through every tragedy and loss. Tristan's family...WOW...his parents were an absolute nightmare. I was so glad that he and Walker were able to support the girls and stop the cycle. This was my first listen in the Sulfur Springs series, and now I want to go back and listen to the first two books.
Michael Pauley's narration is excellent as always. Unique voices for the characters, emotional delivery, and great pacing.
I received a complimentary copy of this audiobook and am voluntarily leaving this honest review.

Sweet Story ❤️
This is my first Taylor Rylan read and I enjoyed it. 👍🏼
I felt so bad for Walker. What a devastating double whammy, but I’m glad he has his brothers who were there for him.
Oh Tristan, your parents. They made me want to spray them with a fire hose. 🤦🏻♀️
I like the way Walker & Tristan grew as individually characters & how they grew close together & the evolution of their relationship. It seemed fast but considering what they went thru together, how much sticking together strengthened their bond, the pace seemed so natural.
Michael Pauley is great as ever. Well done. 👍🏼👍🏼

Great series great book
This series keeps getting better and better. Written around a firestation with hunky Firefighters. What more could you want. Great stories, great characters and a lot of heat. Can't wait for the next installment.

Family Secrets. Religious Zealots. Can love win?
This Sulfur Springs is an excellent series by Taylor Rylan and I also have the first two books in the series, so I was able to come at this with a knowledge of the characters involved, so I recommend reading/listening to the first two books in order to get the best appreciation of the powerful themes in this story.
Michael Pauley is one of my favourite narrators of all time and he does an awesome job of bringing the guys to life. Family can either be a source of comfort, support and salvation, or it can be a place where you feel alone if you're different too what your family expects of you. This is what Walker and Tristan have to discover...sometimes the family that you choose becomes your true family.
Highly recommended for lovers of first time gay romance and of complex, interesting characters.

A great book on a difficult subject
Story: Wow! Following on two geat previous books, Saving My Sanity brings with it all the great qualities of previous titles, adding to it with an important topic of parental abuse and religious bias. Loved how the themes were treated without unnecessary big bangs, while still delivering an impactful message. Good job!
Narration: Similar to previous titles, the narration was great - easy to follow and clear. A great voice for a great story.
