About this listen
Think of any scene of disaster and you'll find Sikh volunteers rallying to the site to perform seva—pronounced 'say-va', meaning selfless service—feeding migrant workers, helping riot victims, and cleaning up after earthquakes and floods. Why has this 30 million strong community become the world's Good Samaritan? What is it about their values that makes so many of them do so much good? And how is it that they're also able to channel so much joy and laughter while serving others?
Through science-based studies, interviews with Sikhs and a look at history and fables, Seva unlocks seven Sikh-inspired rules to help anyone become kinder, happier and lead a more meaningful life. A secular handbook for the modern world, Seva is a beautiful, inspiring and moving book that will change you from the inside out.

Great Book - Full of Wisdom, thank you.
The book is simply outstanding and great effort by the author to educate about Sikh Wisdom so nicely and beautifully putting the facts together.
The only concern is and which we aren’t sure, why do the narrator has to put a thick Indian accent whenever she’s talking about anyone from the Indian heritage, we are sure not everyone speaks like that anyway.
Especially, when you are talking about Sikh wisdom and including equality, and all part of one divine. Furthermore, the most upsetting part was when she portrayed the Guru Ji’s also talking in the same way and manner. Our young children actually asked us politely about why all of a sudden “ the lady keeps on talking differently”!
This is my first time listened to a full audio book so we aren’t sure if this is part of any particular requirement etc., as on few occasions we were close to stop and return it. However, as the content is so pure and sacred; we managed to continue.
Thank you to the author for doing this Sewa and hopefully you and your beautiful children are doing well; as well as family post Covid.
We will look forward to your next book and one kind request to take the above feedback positively and hopefully it will reflect in your next venture.
All the best and kindest regards from The Singh Family!
