About this listen
Maverick trauma surgeon Ashton “Snow” Frost keeps the world at a distance, relying only on his three closest friends to keep him connected. But when a ghost from their past returns to Cincinnati, Snow stands to lose everyone he loves. Framed for murder and reeling from attacks on his friends, Snow is pushed to his breaking point.
Jude Torres won’t let the doc shatter. The paramedic has been attracted to the doctor since he first laid eyes on him at the hospital, even if the arrogant, solitary man doesn’t fit into any of his plans. One hot, reckless kiss shows that Snow isn’t who he appears to be. And one night together will never be enough. Jude will fight for the doc.
Fight to keep him whole. Fight to keep him safe. Fight to simply keep him.

as great as the ebook
The story is always full stars, because if I wouldn't like the story as ebook, I wouldn't listen to the audiobook.
The performance from the narrator is also very important for me. I can't listen to a lot, because my English as a non-native-speaker isn't so perfect to follow a whole story over hours, when the narrator speaks too fast or too sloppy. Normally I have to SEE the person, who is talking to me in English. Kenneth Obi is one of the top 5 narrators (so far) for me, I can listen without break and have no problems to follow. I'm just not yet finish with the book, but I listen enough to give a review.
PLEASE READ MY RATING SYSTEM!!!
To my ratings:
5* - very very good
it's like an A+
4* - very good and will be often re-listening
it's like an A
3* - it's more then a one-time-listening.
it's like a B

Fantastic writing, brilliant characters and awesome narration. This series just keeps getting better. So good and definitely worth listening to Ken's dulcet tones

Great story
The story and characters are engaging and the narrator has very distinctive voices for each character, always a plus for me.

Snow's story
Series continues in book 2. Snow's story and what a great listen it was too. Loved how the overall story line messed with Snow's and Jude's story. Highly recommended listen
Kenneth continues with his great narration. Loved how he brough out Snow's character - his character voice is to die for!

Beware Greeks .............
Overlong, drawn out continuance from book 1, telling the further interaction of the cadre, particularly Snow and Jude. Any sparkle this story had, was lost in tedious domesticity of pots and pans, laundry and meeting parents. Quit the tale with 2 hrs to go after trying for 3 days to finish.
OK for what it was.

I tried, I really tried. I started again once and kept picking up after days listening to other books. But it is boring and ridiculous. The narration was confusing because several voices were interchangeable. And I don't know whether another narrator could have made it more captivating.
