It is 83 years after the last of the thinking machines were destroyed in the Battle of Corrin, after Faykan Butler established himself as the first emperor of a new imperium.
War hero Vorian Atreides has turned his back on Salusa Secundus, flying off to parts unknown. Abulurd Harkonnen, convicted of cowardice, was sent away to live on gloomy Lankiveil, and his descendants continue to blame Vor for the downfall of their fortunes. Raquella Berto-Anirul has formed the Bene Gesserit School as the first Reverend Mother. Descendants of Aurelius Venport and Norma Cenva have built a powerful transportation company using mutated Navigators who fly 'spacefolder ships'. Gilbertus Albans has established a school on bucolic Lampadas teaching humans to become Mentats. Even so, decades after the defeat of the thinking machines, anti-technology fervor continues to sweep across the human-settled planets, with powerful fanatical groups imposing violent purges....

Masterpiece
Another fantastic instalment in a fantastic series. 5 star sci-fi. Should be more widely known on the same level as the main Dune books

Another highly engrossing listen.
The Incredible saga continues ,gripping till the end.The narrative is superb a marvel how he can achieve son many characters.

Maintaining the High Standard
With the exception of The Battle of Corrin (too much like Warhammer for me) the prequels have been great and Sisterhood is another good romp with some familiar names. Excellent.

Another excellent Dune story.
You're hard pressed to find better authors.
A fantastic story with such an arch, but well written across all three books. So many characters across so many years. But the pace is perfect, I'd read the books, but could stop listening.
Excellent narration and characterization by Scott Brick.

Great story fills in the gaps left in Dune
Another brilliant story by Brian Herbert and K Anderson. They are great storytellers and explain everything that happened before Dune. Stunning . I also like the narrator. i still maintain that the authors are better storytellers than Frank Herbert.

Part one of the latest trilogy and equally as good as those written previously. A must read for fans of Dune and it's now many prequels.
