Summary

Original cast members from the beloved TV series, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, reunite for an all-new adventure about connections that never die—even if you bury them.

A decade has passed since the epic final battle that concluded Buffy the Vampire Slayer (TV). The game-changing spell that gave power to all potential Slayers persists. With new Slayers constantly emerging, things are looking grim for the bad guys. Rebellious vampire Spike (James Marsters) is working undercover in Los Angeles with his old pal Clem (James Charles Leary) when he meets feisty, rookie Slayer, Indira (Laya DeLeon Hayes), who wants Spike to be her mentor. Stakes intensify as Cordelia Chase (Charisma Carpenter) emerges from an alternate reality where she alone is the Slayer, and Buffy Summers doesn’t exist. Cordelia enlists Spike’s help with a classic big bad terrorizing her world…his ex, Drusilla (Juliet Landau). Giles (Anthony Head), Anya (Emma Caulfield Ford), Jonathan (Danny Strong), and Tara (Amber Benson) also return, but through the years and the vastness of the multiverse, not everyone is who they used to be…

Slayers: A Buffyverse Story is written and directed by Amber Benson and Chris Golden, and co-directed by Kc Wayland.

Got the gang back together

Great story and brilliant performance by the cast. Didn't know what to expect going in but its well worth a listen if you're a fan of the show.

it was saved by Dru

As a huge Buffy fan, I was excited for this story.
I enjoyed it. However, about halfway through, I was going to give up, and then we started having more Drucilla. Juliet Landau is still brilliant at playing Dru. Is it wrong that I was rooting for Dru all the way through the story , such an excellent character, played to perfection.
it was nice to hear all the other old characters.
Evlnjoyable, if you get bored, stick with it. It gets better as it goes along.

Mixed feelings

It’s okay but meh. It needs more work.

It would be good to have a buffyverse saga with different characters. No one cares about Tara or Cordelia as main characters…. Indira was great.

I hope this is first of many

I could not have gotten a better Halloween gift than this! This was absolutely amazing. The performance was so good I sometimes forgot it’s an audiobook as I had the desire to look at my screen (I always have something in the background, and it’s not unusual for me to listen to tv shows). The storyline makes about as much sense as it does in the show. This is meant to be entertaining (and it is!), not booker prize winning. If you are Buffy fan, you will not regret it

Delightful buffet of much-loved characters

Not sure why people are rating some one stars, that just seems bitter it's not how they thought it would be... The performances are spot on, the story could be better but it's great to delve into the Buffy world again. And if you did actually watch the series, you know it's a little cheesy, that was the appeal to the audience back then! Loved Spike singing 'Rest In Peace' 💜👌

Disappointed

I really wanted to love this. I was so excited when it was announced but it just missed the mark for me. Clem was the best bit of the whole thing for me.

Very enjoyable

Very enjoyable, it's basically a radio play, it was nice to hear the old voices. While they haven't got everyone back it still features some of my favourites. I usually don't like multiverse episodes but it was nice to have the BTVS horror and humour combo you love so much.

a jolly good time!

I was hesitant about Buffy without Buffy, but this was great fun, and justice for Cordelia was so so sweet. Can't wait for the next one?.....😏
