Gripping story - well paced & excellent narration
Where does Sleep Tight rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
Very close to the top - I found it hard to stop listening.
Who was your favorite character and why?
I really like Tom - he's not hard to like - he seems to have an instinct for when the evidence is not what it seems.
Have you listened to any of Melody Grove and Andrew Wincott ’s other performances? How does this one compare?
No I don't think I have - the narration was very good - as an avid Audible listener I really appreciate good narration - it can really make the experience for the listener.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
Yes it definitely was.
Any additional comments?
This is the second book I have listened to by Rachel Abbott - really enjoyed The Back Road but this is even better.

decent enough
What did you like about the performance? What did you dislike?
I liked the attempt at the Northern accent but feel that it would have been better to just have a Mancunian narrate. The male narrator was not the best at doing female voices but overall both narrators were easy to listen to.
Any additional comments?
This is a decent story, worth the money but I wouldn't rate as brilliant. The author was good at making you think hard about the clues in some areas but not so much in other areas.
I didn't like the subplot/side stories like the love angle or the detectives break in because it didn't go anywhere - I mean literally didn't go anywhere at all.
Overall though if your into this genre and want something easy and a bit cheaper than other audible' s it shouldn't disappoint

Okay
This book was spoilt for me by the narration. In particular the male's accent and inflection grated so much so that I almost returned it.would also have been better if the female narrator played all the female parts and visa versa. Nevertheless, overall the story was very good and an enjoyable listen.

Shocking!
Unfortunately my title doesn't refer to the book, but to the other reviews. Personally I thought the narration was terrible. The main character talks in a 'Manchester accent" (it's not!) and thinks in a competely different accent. His girlfriend's accent is laughable. And the female narrator's no better and depicts Olivia as completely pathetic.
Not enough interest in the story. Could have been so much better with a even just a bit of character development. More believable if the characters that talk to the police actually told them the information that they would in real life.
For me the most exciting part of this book came about five minutes ago, when I found it in my itunes library and thought I'd found an audiobook I hadn't yet read. That's how memorable it is! (I finished it only a week ago.)

Not a bad story, but needs polishing
I really enjoyed the first crime novel by Rachel Abbott, but this book did not compare very well, and it seemed a bit half baked in comparison. I can see that Rachel Abbott is on the way to creating detective series with her Det. Chief Inspector Tom Douglas, but I think that she might benefit from doing more extensive research in police work for the series. I personally did not like that Tom Douglas was a completely different character from the way he was in the first book, almost unrecognizable - he was caring and gentle, and in this book he was quite cynical in his attitude. I also found the narration a bit strange, Andrew Wincott was probably attempting a Northern accent, but instead it sounded a bit American and cynical, and Olivia's voice was sweet, but it sounded a bit electronic at times, probably because of sync editing. The story is interesting but very improbable in UK setting, it would be a more likely scenario for an American crime novel, it did have that feel to it, I am sure that it would do very well with American audience.

Good story
The narrators were very good and the story quite gripping. I did listen to it over 2 days, because I had to know what happened. Recommended.
