About this listen
Megan is dreading going home for the holidays. She’s the village pariah, the she-devil who left local golden boy Isaac at the altar four years ago and ran away to the big city. She could really do without the drama. Particularly as he’s engaged again, and she’s just been dumped for the fourth time this year.
Christian’s fed up of being on his own every Christmas. He doesn’t mind being alone, but he hates his family’s sad eyes and soft tones as they sit around coupled up. Because he’s actually, totally, fine.
So when Megan literally bumps into Christian in a Dublin pub, they come up with a pact to see them through the holiday season. They’re going to be the very best fake dates for each other, ever.
Rules are drawn up, a contract is signed on a wine-stained napkin. They will sit through each other’s family gatherings and be outrageously in love until freed from their annual obligations. After all, it’s only for a few weeks.
But with everyone home for the holidays, two big families to deal with alongside old friends, old flames, and old feelings, things are bound to get messy. And when a snowed-in cabin and a little Christmas magic are added to the mix, anything could happen....
A swoonworthy and utterly gorgeous romantic comedy that will make you laugh out loud and fall completely in love. Fans of Emily Henry, Sophie Kinsella, and Abby Jimenez won’t be able to stop listening!

loved it!!!
if you like rom-coms that actually make you laugh, with characters you really care about, this is one big hug of a book. Catherine Walsh writes flirting as well as Emily Henry does, and the narration is perfect too.

The Best Story!
The next in the series and it’s just as good as the first, “Holiday Romance”. The story is endearing and the characters are engaging. (Which is a relief, because I didn’t enjoy “Rebound”).
However, the one thing that lowers the ratings for me is, the narrators. She is ok, not too bad - he is ok when he’s voicing the main character, Christian. But when he does other characters, his accents are all wrong, not one of them sound Irish! I don’t know if it’s the same narrators as for Holiday Romance, who pulled off the accents and characterisations, but this time it was sadly lacking and noticeable.
Notwithstanding this. I did enjoy the story.

Gorgeous writing, like every CW book!
Loved the depth of the romance between the two, the dual narrators and how their personalities each shone through so strongly, and the wit throughout!

Excellent entertaining romcom
I loved this book! (And the first one) Really enjoyed the Irish/Cork accents and the Irish setting. The story was entertaining, heartwarming and enjoyable without any ridiculous plot lines or repetitive filler. (Is it obvious I was experiencing audible romcom fatigue prior to this ) There was only one thing that niggled me throughout the book and that was the use of “parking lot” instead of “carpark”. The story is set in Ireland and the term isn’t widely used here to the best of my knowledge! I know it’s a silly hangup but every time I heard it, it really bugged me 🤦♀️

Loved the EPIC romance
I surprisingly and thoroughly enjoyed this, it was a difficult to get pulled into the story for the first two chapters. However, the story drastically is fast paced after and I loved every minute of it.
I do wish there was more exploration of their romance, the romance brewing was more towards the latter part of the book and left little space for the actual romance to take place.
I LOVED Christian and Megan. Aiden and Andrew were my favourite though, I loved the versatile characters presented to us in the book. The depth and exploration of meaningful issues were consistently played throughout and I love how they didn’t go through a break up just to realise they love each other. That trope can be tiring reading again and again.
