Summary

Coming-of-age stories from much loved radio royalty, DJ and TV personality Nick Grimshaw.

From partying with pop stars and chatting breeze on the radio, to drinking too much, to not drinking at all, to growing up, coming out, general nonsense, the journey from self-loathing to self-care and making dreams come true. These are Grimmy's brilliant, nostalgic coming-of-age tales, covering life's pivotal moments, the loves, the losses, and the fun had with the family and friends that made him. Heart-breaking and heartening in equal measure, Nick will have you laughing out loud, feeling all the emotions and (potentially) having a good cry.

Lol’s all the way!

A brilliant warm and friendly book.. for a non-reader it was a perfect introduction to audible books.. made me laugh, cry and most of the time smile from ear to ear. Well done Grimmy!

Honest, hilarious and relatable

I loved waking up to Nick and miss him on the radio. I listened to him reading his book out and from the intro (which is hilarious) I fell in love a bit more with him. His love of his family and the constant annoyance he caused with his flamboyance is written so well you feel you’re in the room with the Grimshaws. Loved it

Soft Lad

I loved Nick on Radio 1 from the very first Switch sessions right until he left, so I really enjoyed listening to this audiobook. Listened to the whole thing in one day.
The introduction was exactly me writing my PhD lol. Loved the ‘That London’ stories, being a Northerner could relate totally.

Brilliant

I’ve listened to Nick on Radio 1 since I was a young teen and this book was such a delight to listen to. It’s the first autobiography I’ve listened to where it feels like your with a friend just talking about life. The narration was probably the best I’ve heard (and the impression of his Dad had me laughing out loud). Lovely light hearted story perfect for any time of day.

What a great listen

I’m in my 60s, no longer listen to radio 1, have never listened to Nick and it made no difference. This is a great book, very honest, burst out laughing fun and full of love for his family and friends and passionate about life.
Don’t miss it .
