A Sweet Historical Romance
I was drawn to this book by the premise of a man with Jewish heritage hiding his background in order to avoid prejudice. I don't know much about the struggles a person in this situation would have faced, so I was curious to learn more.
It was a sweet love story and the romance grew gradually and felt authentic. There were some good supporting characters and a lot of very interesting things happening, so I never felt bored and always wanted to know what was going to happen next.
My only criticism was the heroine was too perfect! She had no flaws and made no mistakes, not even a real wayward thought. I did like her, although her angelic nature made her seem a bit less believable and relatable.
Despite that, it was a good story and the narrator did an exceptional job.
