Brilliant!

I couldn't wait for this to be released, I love this author and the narrators are fantastic. I have listened to all of Jessica's books so it was really heartwarming to dive back into Whitsborough Bay and catch up with the characters and meet new ones. It was like visiting old friends and family.
I will admit I did get emotional a few times. It brought out many feels. I really did not want this to end, so again I wait very impatiently for the next book that this author brings out. Although it was definitely worth the wait!

Another great series.

Really loving this series so far and can’t wait for the third one. This story was really good. It was really lovely to catch up with Hollie and Jake. Tories story was amazing and it was fantastic to see her growth and take responsibility for her part in her past. I love the way this author creates such real characters and watch them grow. I can’t wait to read more by this author and i am now a true fan.

*A Leap of Faith*

This is book two in The Starfish Café Series. This instalment focusses on Hollie who after experiencing so much family tragedy has finally found her forever person in Jake. Jake has also been through personal tragedy and now they are finally settling down. Life seems to be going well until someone wants to buy the café will not take no for an answer and they will not stop until they get what they want.

Tori is in a unhappy relationship and she has no friends or anyone to turn to. After a near death experience at sea, her world changes completely. After connecting with Hollie her eyes finally open and she knows she must make a move. She crosses paths with Finley who is also trying to make a decision after his relationship breaks down.

Hollie and Tori find themselves in a position where they end up supporting each other in more ways than one. Each needing to find the strength to navigate their future’s.

I absolutely love Jessica Redland’s tales great escapism too.

Narration needs review

I liked Lucy BrownHill, she’s my favourite narrator for this author. Unfortunately Polly seem to struggle with timing and also misrepresented the non-upper-class characters, turning them into people who basically sounded a bit thick/stupid. This was a contrast to her portrayal of the more upper-class people who sounded eloquent and sophisticated. Unfortunate given the stereotype implication of doing that. Yorkshire people are not stupid, quite the reverse. Also where Lucy Brownhill had narrated the same characters more appropriately, it sounded like different people were being referred to (as the characters were unrecognisable from their accents). Good story.
