Summary

Twenty-one years have passed since the defeat of the Empire at the Battle of Endor and the deaths of Darth Vader and Emperor Palpatine. But now the New Republic faces new threats to its peace and prosperity: a charismatic firebrand is inciting war between two planets...reports of rogue Jedi Kniths practising a vigilante law are sowing seeds of mistrust and fear...and beyond the Outer Rim, a mysterious alien race is mounting an invasion.

Against chaos from within and an enemy unlike any other without, can the heroes who overthrew the Empire triumph again?

Shame about the abridgement

Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?

I listened to this book in the car so it was just bonus time for reading.

If you’ve listened to books by R A Salvatore before, how does this one compare?

The only book I've read By R.A.Salvatore (though i had read the Hardback previously).

Would you listen to another book narrated by Anthony Heald?

I would listen to Anthony Heald though some times his intonnation and flow sounds like William Shatner "singing".

If this book were a film would you go see it?

Yes most definately (if it were in The unabridged format).

Any additional comments?

As I had read the unabridged version a few years ago the abridgement was very disappointing as it appeared to jump with no warning e.g. a character could have disappeared (possibly been killed) then in the next scene that character was just there as though nothing had happened (this does not happen in the original)

Different voice actor

Everything was pretty good about this, I didn't quite like the voices done for the characters though, but unfortunately you've got what you've got. The story is worth listening through despite that, and at least he doesn't have a boring voice with one tone.

all too brief

I kinda liked the faced paced story with no chapter breaks etc, the narrator generally set the scene well.... voices on the other hand were pretty bad Han solo sounds alot like ren from ren and stimpy. This ebook is far too short though I'm comparison to other star wars books.
