Excellent audiobook
This is an excellent audiobook on the basics of Stoic philosophy, with an emphasis on Stoic practices and exercises. It could be listen straight through (this is what I did), but it could easily be used a reference because the structure of the audiobook is so strictly outlined and divided into sections according to the outline. The content was clear and concise, and a listeners with little or no previous philosophical knowledge should be able to understand it. This audiobook was really indispensable for a new Stoic like me.

Clear and concise
Great information. Clear and concise. Every sentence is a truth in itself. The root of most self-help audiobooks come out of these concepts and it feels a little bit extra "cool" because of the history.

Valuable listen
This audiobook goes through a detailed breakdown history of Stoicism, which if you are curious is an ancient greek teaching that values having knowledge and enduring pain and hardships with harmony. This philosophy resembles Taoism, but they both have been derived out of different cultures, so if you know the teaching of Stoisism, then you may be interested in listening this to compare and contrast.

Great and Informative listen
This book will be a great read for anyone who enjoys philosophy and the history of stoicism. This books gives examples on stoicism and how to apply it to your daily life. This is not something I had listen about before so I was not sure what it stoicism was. After listening this book I have found that the stoics have a different way of living in a more ethical way. The book gives lots of examples throughout history showing how they lived their lives and through their philosophies so you are able to apply it to your daily life!

Fantastic audiobook
It's a fantastic audiobook with simple, yet powerful descriptions of the most important Stoic assumptions. Great guide for both those not very familiar with the philosophy, but also those, that maybe have listen a lot about it but still need some sort of structuring of the knowledge gained. It's easily worth 10 times the price. Buy it now!

Excellent and Practical
This is a great audio book! While weaving relevant examples from life to illustrate points, the author really gives practical methods of applying Stoic philosophy to our lives. I recommend this book to anyone looking to improve themselves. It’s a great launching point into Stoicism.

A dose of tranquility
This book is great because it offers actual suggestions of things to do to practice stoicism. My only frustration is that it starts to get a bit repetitive. Full disclosure, I skipped the second part about the history of Stoicism because I was really after the advice for living. I may go back and listen that part... someday!!!!

End negative patterns of thinking for happiness
Sometimes we are what's making us miserable. We just can't stop thinking about how so-and-so wronged us, or how our life didn't turn out as we hoped. Negative thought processes — like worrying, ruminating, self-judgment, and fearing rejection — just keep us miserable and unable to move forward. When you find yourself thinking negatively, pause and refocus your thoughts. In time, your brain will be able to do this more easily
