Great, but misleading title

I don’t think these are stories to make you smile... Most of them are really sad. They’re great, just promoted badly.

A mixed bag!

Loved some not so much others. but they were all good in their own way. Good way to see if you like a certain author, but really needs to be a bit longer.

very enjoyable

I loved these stories. In the last story there is a lesson many could do with learning. The narrator add to the story with her very expressive voice. I also rather like the one about the reporter. While the stories themselves are great they are enhanced by a superb collection of incredible narrators. A very enjoyable listen.

Lots of bitter unhappy people in these stories

This book definitely has the wrong title. Some of the people only seemed to be happy if other people were miserable, the aunt who didn’t step in to help her unhappy niece was awful. I didn’t see why the journalist story would make anyone smile. The Veronica Henry story at least fitted the title.
If you’re going to have a book of happy stories then fill it with happy stories and some people who enjoy life.

Not one I’d recommend

Playing it in the car, my passenger asked me to switch it off as they were bored. They found it old fashioned. I found it ok but nothing I’d recommend.

Smile? Definitely misleading title.

I listened to I think an hour of this book then I had to stop. I didn't enjoy the performance or the stories and simply couldn't continue listening to any further stories. Can I please get my credit back for a more uplifting book, please?
