Brilliant
The combination of author and narrator are a match made in heaven. These are the greatest pairing on audible. Brilliant book as you'd expect from Mark Tufo and laugh out loud moments, perfectly delivered by Sean Runnette. Desperate for the next combination of the pair to appear.

More Than Enthralling
I love this series... I do.
Mark has the ability to captivate his audience with his writing style and his half cocked, skewed version of a universe that is inhabited by an alter ego that says things out loud that I'm sure... no... almost sure, he wouldn't say in real life.
I would recommend this series to anyone who enjoys comedy more than horror or, horror more than suspense or, suspense more than adventure or even, adventure more than comedy.
Sean Runnette is fabulous. He doesn't read the book, he performs it... He is Mike but more to the point, he is BT, Gary, Ron, Tommy, MJ and even Mrs D... You'll know when you hear it.
Please... If nothing else, stay with it just to hear Trip.
Every voice has its own face and that's Sean's imagining of what they sound like, imagine, that voice in your head and your own imagination will make its face because its familiar.
I have listened to every Mark Tufo publication on here and I've decided that I want to be like Mike Talbot (or Mark Tufo) when I grow up and I want Sean Runnette to tell people about my adventures.

Back on form
Top drawer Mark Tufo again, loved every minute funny and powerful again and a touch darker but for me I thought the last one was not his best but this one has put him back on top again by miles in my eyes. Gutted on first death after following the Reily books wanted to know how that developed but it did not but a world of zombies eh.... Great book Mark looking forward to next one

Story getting a bit repetitive
The story is getting overly repetitive I found as one issue, but I'm also getting a little tired of evolving zombies. Speeders, bulkers, smart zombies, hive linked telepathy and echo location as a new one. And sure, zombies are fictional, but they are getting majorly unrealistic in the way they are massively and quickly evolving.
Narration is fine, and story is okay, but again you could interchange it with earlier books in the series for a near identical storyline. Also, Mike as a vampire is dull. Whines on and on about it and his soul but it never has any benefits. He seems weaker now than when it happened, and certainly more so than Tommy was when a half-vamp. He doesn't seem any better than an average human, and weaker than BT. And the other vamps are always way stronger and more powerful by far than Tommy.

<br />great series, sad they are ending.
can't wait for finale......WHEN IS IT????
please let Mike kill that old hag too..
I'd have liked to have seen mikes family suffer their own tragedies instead of everyone else, that way Mike wouldn't be as gung-ho as he is.

So whens the next one?
And the saga continues with Mike and family fighting for survival the only problem being I have to wait for zf10 now I listened to this in one sitting, Sean Runnette continues as the narrator and really makes the book come alive to the point I got the paper back and then purchased this as well just for his performance.

Another great story
This never fails to entertain me, I really like hearing the continuing adventures of the Talbots and friends also bringing new threats and more importantly new Vampires into the mix is always a good time.

I’m in!
Yes, I’m in! Way too deep as I’m binge listening to a book a day while I work!! I could listen to Mike’s crazy ideas for a long long time. Brilliantly written imaginings.
