About this listen
The vast majority of teachers enjoy teaching and are positive about their workplace and colleagues, but they are disappointed by the profession. According to the UK’s health and safety executive, teaching staff and education professionals report the highest rates of work-related stress, depression, and anxiety in Britain.
A colossal 81 percent of teachers say that they have considered leaving teaching in the last year because of workload. I’ve been there myself, and I have come out of the other end triumphant. In this audiobook, I’m going to show you that it is possible to be a guilt-free, effective teacher, without compromising on the quality of your teaching or time with friends and family, and without giving away your precious evenings, weekends and holidays.
The book includes tried-and-tested strategies which continue to work well for me, and I’m confident they will work for you. I’ll provide you with real world tools from someone who, just like you, is in the classroom Monday to Friday. I’m going to demonstrate how you can tackle your ever-increasing workload, including both ways of reducing it and ways to improve your own productivity. I’m going to show you that it is possible to obtain healthy levels of occupational well-being and truly achieve a work-life balance.
You are going to get your life back!

Every teacher should read this
I have been teaching for 5 years and with the current challenges of teaching live lessons and setting remote work as well as the expectation to be on the computer so much I have been worried about how I will manage my workload as we return to school. After Bruno kindly shared his resources on Twitter, I purchased his book as I was interested to see his suggestions. I really like how he has broken down the book into easy to digest chapters with clear action points. Some of his systems are not new to me, but this book re-emphasised their importance in my routine, meanwhile others seemed so obvious I was embarrassed by my oblivion. Today, I didn't check my emails in the morning and honestly he is right, I was so much more productive and had accomplished much more by 11am when I eventually checked them. I am really looking forward to implementing these strategies and I would thoroughly recommend this book to all teachers whether they are new to the profession or well versed, for some helpful and practical advice from a teacher that is still in the classroom. Thank you Bruno!

of great support
I am a trainee with little support at my school, so this did prove really helpful as it allowed me to re assess my priorities and see time as a currency. I have already wasted lots of time!!

Loved it.
This books written style is in the true spirit of what it represents- Its to the point with no waffle. There are excellent strategies to reduce workload, save time and get your life back.. The author makes you really think about your priorities and the things we blindly do everyday without even thinking about how long they take and impact on both our work lives and personal lives. This book is for all teachers not just beginners! Its the best book on Teacher workload that I have read by far.

Really improved my efficiency
As a teaching middle leader who is also a mother of two, I need to be clear on who or what I need to address first. This book really helped me prioritise my time and me. Thank you!
