About this listen
When hotshot lawyer Elizabeth Brice turns up to collect her daughter, Grace, from football practice, the coach tells her she needn't have bothered, as Grace's uncle has already picked her up.
The only problem is - Grace has no uncles.
And so begins a furious race against time to save Grace from unknown kidnappers. Grace's Internet geek father, John, leads the search, forced to unite with his terrifying wife and even more terrifying father, Ben, a battle-hardened Vietnam veteran. Somehow they must find Grace before it is too late. But secrets from the past make the little girl's survival more uncertain with every passing minute....
A riveting, action-packed thriller, The Abduction will have you on the edge of your seat from the first minute to the last.

Mark Giminez at his very best
One of the best thrillers I have read or heard. Links between many threads are teased out through this high paced story. Definitely worth a listen

Great story, silly end
Where does The Abduction rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
Overal a good story, but the American psycho babble ending spoils the book . So quit when you are 5 minutes from the end, then you will have a good book.

Probably the best novel I've heard . Great story,
Pity The Americans don't understand football but they will learn. Gimenez has written several good books ,he is better than Grisham.

Riveting!
I was so drawn into this book, the story is so different. I couldn’t stop listening to it, consequently not sleeping till 3am. The end was exciting with the very end being a little predictable and schmaltzy - but hey, nothing wrong with a bit of schmaltz and it did leave me feeling good and able to sleep. What’s not to like? Would make a gripping film.
A mention must be made of the narrator Richard Ferrone who truly brought the book to life.
THANK YOU to both author and narrator

Slow pace and caricature characters
I liked the look of this - the story sounded great but quickly realised it wasn't for me. Painfully slow pace. Characters who just aren't believable and come across as caricatures. Hard nose female lawyer, hard drinking hard green beret Vietnam vet and geek about to sell his company who doesn't get woman - just computer code. Of course he was bullied at school. And the Vietnam vet had something horrible happen in the war. Yawn. Maybe it feels so slow because the characters are so obvious. You basically already know everything about them in the first couple of chapters and the don't really develop from there. Some of the lines are so cheesy as well. I.e. "The only person who can take on a green beret is another green beret". I kept expecting it to pick up but it didn't.
