Summary

Cass is having a hard time since the night she saw the car in the woods and the woman who was killed. Since then she's been forgetting everything: where she left the car, if she took her pills, the alarm code, why she ordered a pram when she doesn't have a baby....

What she can't forget is the woman she might have saved, the terrible nagging guilt, the silent calls she's receiving and the feeling that someone's watching her.

Fine- but slow and little predictable

The performance is- as ever good. But I was disappointed in theme story, slow and ponderous and I feel a little predictable.

Cracking story

This was a real surprise. Along the way you will think you know what's going on and really empathise with Cass but then the whole thing takes a turn. I didn't expect the ending. Great story.

Very enjoyable

Contrary to some of the reviews the 'texting' towards the end of the book was perfectly acceptable. I have no doubt that reading it rather than listening would be easier though. Plot romps along at a good pace.

paint drying

this book was very disappointing. I enjoyed Behind closed doors but this was painful i just skipped to the last chapter to find out the ending. a boring read. but did like the narration Georgia Maguire is very good and would read more books based on her narration but i'd have to think on the author

not bad but not good

after reading "behind closed doors" I was sooo excited for this book. I had in mind that B B Paris is the kind of author who gives away everything but presents it in an unexpected and fast paced way.. well with this book it wasn't the same. it was very slow, repetitive, and u had an idea of what could happen early on but the slow pace of the book made me lose interest and not get the point soon. I managed to finish it but not easily.

Excellent book

I thoroughly enjoyed read/listening to The breakdown, twists and turns, the ending unexpected. I thought I had the plot sussed in the middle only to find, a new suspect lol. Excellent narrator, gripping plot. Can’t wait read more by this author. Highly recommended

I got it very early on .....

Although in my attempt to confirm and unravel there was a big big piece of the jigsaw I missed. Furthermore the last chapter brought the final unexpected twist. Actually I felt the text story telling towards the end was simply genius - Enjoyed it!!!!!!
