About this listen

"You’ve got to help me," she pleads.

On a wet road in the black of night, Karl Seabury is driving home to his pregnant wife. Suddenly, caught in his headlights in the middle of the road is a woman shaking with fright.

The woman says her name is Liz Smith, that her home was attacked, and that she was the only one to escape.

In a split-second decision, Karl decides to help her to safety. But Liz is hiding a dark secret, and now, his good deed has put his family in terrible danger....

An absolutely unputdownable thriller, with twist after twist after twist, that will leave you breathless. Perfect for fans of Robert Dugoni, John Marrs, and Harlan Coben.

what a ride

I have to say this is not the book I was expecting but I so enjoyed it. I loved being in this world and the way every character is so believable and relatable to. i'm also realy impressed with Alison Garner, girl on a train for men lol

Bad Choice

I am afraid I have hung up my wireless earphones at chapter 40 but I would like to state I gave this audio a sterling effort and tried very hard to listen to it. However it got to the point when I asked myself why listen to B rated books when there are so many wonderful A+ listens to chose from.
If the terrible banter, if you can call it that, between the lead characters wasn't nauseating enough the storyline just went from ridiculous to well ridiculous. It all finally came to a halt for me when Karl calls his 6 month pregnant wife to warn her of impending danger from ruthless killers who already know where they live, that they will stop at nothing to hurt her and their baby, to pack her bag and get out. Well I dont know about you but if I got a call like that, Im out of there without a bag, just my passport in hand and calling for a taxi to the nearest airport.. Of course wife replies she is not leaving her home, but instead is going to get her nails done... Really? we are living in the 21st Century full of violence, home invasions, muggings, threats from every corner of the world.. All I can say is that I am waiting for ITV to pick this up for its new 4 part serial thriller, I am sure it will be a massive hit. They love drivel like this.
