About this listen
A Pride & Prejudice Novella
Elizabeth Bennet longs to see the view from the famous Black Rocks in Derbyshire, but her aunt and uncle refuse to allow her to climb to the highest rock outcroppings alone. Elizabeth's distress is only worsened by a chance encounter with Mr. Darcy - at least until he offers to escort her to the top. But unbeknownst to her, the Black Rocks have a very special meaning for him.
As Darcy tells her the tale of his parents' courtship and marriage, Elizabeth, like Darcy's mother before her, is forced to confront the true power of family and destiny atop the Black Rocks. Please note that this story is a novella, not a full-length novel.

Quick, enjoyable listen
A short, sweet, low angst variation. Two stories in one, as Darcy & Elizabeth meet in Derbyshire and he tells her the story of how his parents met and fell in love. It was worth hearing once but I'll probably skip his parents story in future, which is a bit more than an hour of the total playing time. The narration is good but not great.

Wonderful
I think this is my favourite of this authors stories, which is really saying something.
I would love to see a full length sequel as there are so many thoings that remain unresolved; did the Darcy tradition skip Georgiana, or is she even now pining for Wickham? Will Lydia think better of eloping? Will Jane end up with Bingley, or will s her letter to Elizabeth bring news of her engagement to another? Will Lady Catherine be pleased for Darcy for once?
If one of the signs of a good story is not wanting it to end, then this is one of the best.
