Summary
On February 13, 2017, two Indiana teenagers, Abigail Williams, 13, and Liberty German, 14, went for a walk in the woods near the abandoned Monon High Bridge.
They never returned home.
Their bodies were discovered on Valentine's Day morning, sparking a torrent of news coverage and social media speculation that engrossed the attention of people around the world.
A grainy photo of the suspected killer walking across the bridge and a chilling cellphone recording of his voice saying "down the hill" captured the public's attention. Numerous possible suspects were brought to the attention of the authorities but dismissed, leaving everyone wondering who could have committed such a heinous crime.
Author Nic Edwards, host of the wildly popular True Crime Garage podcast, was fascinated by the case and for years conducted his own extensive research and commentary. As such he was able to dissect the investigation that included an extensive list of possible suspects, such as a hatchet-wielding lunatic, a kidnapper with unusual tattoos, a murderous pastor, a rapist, and a father and son catfishing team.
Then in late October 2022, local pharmacy technician Richard Allen was charged with the murders. His arrest raised multiple questions about how he was able to evade law enforcement for so long and what motivated him to commit such a horrific crime.
In The Delphi Murders: The Quest To Find ‘The Man on the Bridge’, Edwards and his best-selling coauthor Brian Whitney (You Have a Very Soft Voice, Susan) provide a detailed account of the investigation from the day the girls’ bodies were found to the events leading up to Allen's arrest, and unique insight into the minds of the killer and those who worked tirelessly to bring him to justice.

Great first effort - just a glitch to fix
Firstly I have to say I'm a fan of True Crime Garage and a few other TC pods. Just finished in 2 days. Loved it. Nick's voice really comes through. In UK the Audible version has a glitch as Chapter 15 is Chapter 18 which repeats as Chapter 18. Other than that, really good effort, thoughtful, insightful and written by someone who truly cares

Essential reading for the Delphi case
Incredibly well researched and comprehensive examination of the Delphi case. As a bonus, there's also plenty of fascinating background info for True Crime Garage listeners.

Brilliant, honest writing.
Whether you’re a longtime fan of True Crime Garage and think you know everything about the Delphi case, or this is the first you’ve heard of either, this is a worthwhile listen. The narrator does an excellent job bringing Nic’s voice to life and the experience feels like being allowed into the garage to listen first hand to Nic over a beer about the origins of the garage and his obsession with discovering who committed the murders of Liberty German and Abigail William’s - one of the most perplexing and complicated cases I’ve heard of. Nic brings to life the town of Delphi, and most importantly, puts the focus back on Abbie and Libby and the fight for justice by both families. I hope this is just the first of many books by Nic.

Genuine
I’m a True Crime Garage fan from the UK and this is exactly what I expected. You can tell from the writing that Nick has a genuine devotion to true crime which goes way beyond the ‘sensationalism’ thy some aspect of true crime have become. I really enjoyed hearing the snippets of other cases and look forward to new books in the future which may delve into some of those cases even further.

I have to admit I bought the book as an a fan of true crime garage. This is the authors first book and I really enjoyed it. Well written and compelling. Listened to it in bed last night as off work today and honestly it didn't send me to sleep. It is very well researched and I highly recommend this book if this genre interests you. Thank you nic.

Passionate
I really enjoyed Nicks debut book.
You can feel the passion in the writing that Nick genuinely wants justice for Libby and Abbie.
I really appreciated the references to other cases. I thought the narration was fantastic and really reminded me of John Douglas

Disjointed and disappointing
It can't decide whether it's a telling of this story or a mish mash of other similar cases or an advert for a podcast.
Difficult to recommend.
