Summary

He’s won every trial. Because he’s behind every murder.

Ambitious District Attorney Randal Korn lives to watch prisoners executed.

Even if they are not guilty.

An innocent man, Andy Dubois, faces the death penalty for the murder of young girl. Korn has already fixed things to make sure he wins a fast conviction.

The one thing Korn didn't count on was Eddie Flynn.

Slick, street-smart and cunning, the former con artist turned New York lawyer has only seven days to save an innocent man against a corrupt system and find the real killer.

In a week the Judge will read the verdict, but will Eddie be alive to hear it?

5 1/2 *

Excellent. I love these characters. Eddie has definitely developed throughout the series but I think they have all integrated well into the narrative. Adam Sims, excellent as ever. Miss them already!

Good story telling ruined by one sided politics

As usual very well written and compelling story. But for me it was ruined by pushing one sided political ideology. The whole "white supremacy is the greatest threat" nonsense, while painting terrorists like Antifa as good.. Utter nonsense.

Horrible but compulsive

Very nasty story with a strong sense of menace. And then a silly ending. Altogether not as good as the previous Eddie Flynn books. Excellent reader though.

Disappointed

I could not get into this story, it wasn’t badly written but I couldn’t get interested in it.

Not his best...

Disappointing plot -totally unbelievable at many stages. Such a dystopian situation stretches the imagination too far.

Another great read/listen

The plot was sound and the characters solid.
Steve has written a plot based on some real facts and has spun a storyline around them that's totally conceivable.
I really enjoyed this book and the narration by Adam Sims is just superb, breathing life intothecharacters.
I am looking forward to another in this series, if Steve writes more.
