Embracing the Now!
Wonderful book that book delves into the concept of the ego, helping listeners understand its role in their lives and the impact it can have on their relationships and personal growth. In chapter two, "Ego vs. Action," the author skillfully dissects the difference between ego and genuine confidence. This resonated with me as I reflected on instances in my own life where the thin line between the two became blurred. The habits discussed in this chapter provided valuable cues for self-reflection, prompting me to reconsider certain behaviors that may have been ego-driven rather than stemming from genuine confidence. The narration quality of the audiobook enhances the overall listening experience.

Powerful Book on Understanding Your Ego
This is a really terrific audiobook about self-awareness and learning how to understand your ego and how to keep it in check. I found it absolutely fascinating to learn about how our ego affects all aspects of our lives, how our egos have been tricking us our entire lives, and what the four pillars are that keep our ego in balance. I thoroughly enjoyed listening to chapter 4, The Power of Humility. By instinct, when I hear the word ego, I think of arrogance and brashness, which are the opposite of humility. I think the first most important step to controlling your ego is to make sure you have lots of humility and self-awareness in your life. I highly recommend this audiobook to anyone looking to make real and positive changes in their lives.

Understanding your ego
The term ego is often used in daily life, but it is an intangible thing that doesn't have a shape, yet it feels like it has a great deal of control over our thoughts and actions. This audiobook was useful as it broke down what your ego actually is and how, with that knowledge, you can learn to make better decisions that aren't based on your ego alone.

Living for the now
This book took me by surprise at how much I needed to question my view on a lot of different things. In a world where we are constantly caught up with the go go and social media and everything at our fingertips to distract us, it's difficult to stay grounded and focus on the here and now. The book has us look at the nature of the ego and whether it provides us with good or bad benefits and whether it can assist us or hurt us. Too much of anything is a bad thing so learning how to identify when your ego may have too much power is critical.
Chapter 3 was one that really caught my attention in the fact that you are learning to transform your behavior and regain control of your life by understanding the intricacies of the ego. My biggest takeaway was learning how to live in the moment which is something I have not been doing much of. I am a very goals-driven person and I Have several projects I have been working on to try to finish up so that it will provide my family with a better life but I am realizing I am missing out on all the moments that are happening around me.
The book does a good job of making sure we understand how the ego can present itself and how to be on the lookout for it.
