About this listen
Groom? Check. Dress? Check. Cake? Check. More cake? Double Check. Even more cake? Triple check. (Seriously, who left Lethe alone with Grier's credit card?)
Anything that can go wrong has, but all the deposits have been paid, and the menus are set. Mostly. There's always room for more cake, right? All that's left is for Grier and Linus to exchange vows and set off on their honeymoon. Their happily ever after awaits, so close they can taste it.
No. Wait. That's probably just more cake. Frosting gets everywhere.
Anyway, there's also murder, arson, and general mayhem. This is what happens when two potentates marry. Just cross your fingers they survive exchanging vows, and that the knot they tie doesn't turn into a noose.
Contains mature themes.

Definitely A Wedding To Remember.
I love this amazing series. It has firmly cemented Hailey Edwards as one of my favourite authors. I love her writing style and find her books easy to read. Her storylines keep me hooked with interesting threads and plenty of action. The world that she's created for this series is fascinating as are the different species that populate it. I love that all her characters have multilayered personalities even though most of them aren't human; it makes them all feel real - even though most are not even human.
As I borrowed this book through my Kindle Unlimited subscription, I added the narration. Rebecca Mitchell is a new-to-me narrator but I enjoyed her performance. I liked the pace at which she read the story and the emotion she put into the narrative. Rebecca was able to adjust her voice slightly when reading the dialogue, to make it easier to distinguish male from female characters. However, separating Grier from Lethe, for example, wasn't quite as easy.
Although Grier Woolworth is only in her early 20s, I love how she's continued to grow and evolve as this series progressed. She has all the personality traits that I crave from a female protagonist plus her sense of humour makes me chuckle. Grier is intelligent, resilient, resourceful and has plenty of gumption. The rest of her family also hold a special place in my heart and I think I'm in love with Linus. I enjoyed getting inside his head during this wedding adventure.
This is the first of the "epilogue novellas" that aim to tie up a few loose ends and let's us see Grier's happy ever after. There's NO life-or-death perilous cliffhanger at the end of this novella. However, I can't wait to read the next epilogues novella Undead Honeymoon.
