Summary

What's a boy to do - in Caleb Roehrig's YA paranormal romance The Fell of Dark - when his crush is a hot vampire with a mystery to solve?

The only thing August Pfeiffer hates more than algebra is living in a vampire town.

Located at a nexus of mystical energy fields, Fulton Heights is practically an electromagnet for supernatural drama. And when a mysterious (and annoyingly hot) vampire boy arrives with a cryptic warning, Auggie suddenly finds himself at the center of it.

An ancient and terrible power is returning to the earthly realm, and somehow Auggie seems to be the only one who can stop it.

Vampire tropes turned on their head

In this book vampire love story tropes are kind of turned on their head. Michael Crouch is a fantastic narrator in this book, as always. Can really recommend!

Awesome narration

The narration saved this book, the story itself is a lot of conversation and a main character without much agency. Great character tension though! Overall enjoyed the whole experience.

Just OK.

Michael Crouch is one of my favourite narrators. That's why I was very excited when I saw that he had performed this book.
Unfortunately the story itself fails to draw me in. It's OK, but I didn't really enjoy it a lot.
