Summary

A mysterious exhibit is under construction at the Vatican Museums. A week before it is scheduled to open, its curator is murdered. The same night a violent break-in rocks the home of the curator's research partner, Father Alex Andreou.

When the papal police fail to identify a suspect in either crime, Father Alex undertakes his own investigation. But just as he begins to understand the truth about his friend's death, Father Alex finds himself hunted down....

Great book

Couldn't stop listening. It's very insightful into the Christian religion. It's well researched and no detail is spared.

Riveting read

Warning: I was so enthralled by this book my bedtime read went from an hour or so to five am. over six hours straight! couldn't put this book down! it was exciting, thrilling, informative without complexity. kept me guessing right up until the last words read. If you like Dan Brown's work I think you'd love this

Tedious and unbelievable

I did not finish this book as I lost the will to live after a few hours. Two priests, one separated with a child the other the brother, running around the Vatican just did not work for me.

Not quite what I expected

I found this book was more church intrigue/Mystery than an adventure story. This may be fine for many, but I was hoping for more action.

Interminably long

One of the most long winded and boring books I have ever read. Kept hoping after a very slow start that it would improve. Sadly it did not.

Long and a little under-whelming

What did you like best about The Fifth Gospel? What did you like least?

The early part of the story

What was the most interesting aspect of this story? The least interesting?

The historical facts

What aspect of Jack Davenport’s performance might you have changed?

A bit more life

Could you see The Fifth Gospel being made into a movie or a TV series? Who would the stars be?

Don't know

Any additional comments?

This book is long, very long, very very long, too long. The author just keeps trying to squeeze one more twist in and I think he over does it in the end.

Excellent

You feel that you are there, part of it, following all the politics of what is the Catholic Church. Great listen
