Different but very good

Two top narrators made for enjoyable listening experience.
The story totally floored me at first. It is not often the villain takes the first person role. However, it worked well and the story gripped.

Would make a great film

Full of twists and turns. I liked how it was mainly written from the criminal perspective.

Well crafted thriller

A kidnap case, an anti-hero cop who you can't help rooting for, and a lot of unexpected twists and turns along the way.

The first 48 hours

Gripping from start to finish . Although it took a while to get to the finish. It was worth the time.

Another fast paced, page turning rocket ride story

Simon Kernick has set his own bar high, through his back catalogue, so I am always apprehensive he can keep it up.
He did, this was another fast paced page turner brought to life with great performances from Paul Thornley and Olivia Darnley.
There is no tired format with these books, you never know where they are going, or where the twists and turns take you, with the never one-dimensional characters.

Amazing non stop listen

Couldn’t stop listening, the whole day. Best book of the year for me. Captivating, tense in places. My favourite narrator as well .
