Summary

'I wish I could skip to the good part, where my life is sorted. I'm so tired of being broke and single and stuck . . . I just want to get to the good part of my life.'

What if you could fast forward to your happy ever after?

Lucy Young is twenty-six and fed up with life, so when she stumbles upon a wishing machine, she wishes to skip ahead. When she wakes up the next day to the perfect life, Lucy can't believe it's real . . . especially when she looks in the mirror and sees her forty-something face staring back. As Lucy navigates her future life, she soon realises that along with the good part, there are harder surprises too. Does she want to go back to being the girl she once was? Or is the good part bright enough to stay in?

Absolutely Excellent 5 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

I rarely give 5 Stars but this listen was excellent. It ticked every box for me. Yes it was a time travel romantic comedy yet it has many plot twists.

I have to give you a TRIGGER WARNING for Baby Loss. This book reminded me of the Nicholas Cage Film 'Family Man'.

The author is amazing writing this little gem and the narrator Kerry Gilbert did her job very well especially with the Scottish lady in the shop who I think is the spirit of Scottish man Sam's Mum.
I recommend this listen 😀👍

Some plot twists

I enjoyed this light hearted listen. Good distraction. Not too complex. I did chuckle a few times and it was poignant in other places. Did keep me wondering how it was going to end which was good. It wasn’t totally obvious.
Loved the Scottish Sam. Excellent voice and accent!

Well written chick lit set in the future

It caught my attention right from the get go, all the way to the end.

Her future husband, Sam, was adorable. I enjoyed the Scottish accent, and the little voice of her little boy.

Entering the future, you had drones delivering packages, just like the owls delivering letters in Harry Potter. You also had cars that drive themselves, just as they do in other sci-fi films.

Full of love, laughter and a loss over the years she has lost in order to skip to the good part.

This has been my favourite book of the year.

Absolutely loved it

I listened to "Just Haven't Met You Yet" by Sophie Cousens and really enjoyed that so was excited for this one, too, and it didn't let me down. The characters here were all brilliantly written and the narration was great. It was witty, intriguing and tender, highly recommend!
