Summary
Some legends never die…
Irish newsreader Isolde Malone has a face many would recognise; in fact, she can’t walk through the streets of Dublin without bumping into a hoard of fans, all of whom want their picture taken with the darling of broadcast journalism. She’s living a dream life and has never been happier…
Until the night everything changes.
Forced to take a sabbatical from her glittering career, Isolde needs a haven from ordinary life and the support of her only remaining family. So, when a gilt-edged invitation to attend one of her brother’s fundraising events drops through the post, it seems like the perfect opportunity. There’s just one problem…
She must cross the sea to Cornwall.
But, what promised to be the perfect escape soon turns into a nightmare when a body washes up at the foot of the legendary castle at Tintagel, and Isolde soon realises that the ghosts in that part of the world can be just as deadly as the ones she’s left behind in Ireland.
Trapped in a windswept country house hotel for the weekend, surrounded by suspects, Isolde hardly knows who to trust, but she knows it isn’t Tristan Williams—no matter what the old legend might say…

A bit more romantic than my usual murder mystery listen but a good story all the same. And the narrator brought the characters to life - which in my opinion is very important in the enjoyment of an audio book.

A wonderful summer suspense novel
Another great book from LJ Ross in her summer suspense series. I devoured it over 24hours. Great characters who are becoming a family of friends since the beginning of the series. Claire Corbett is a superb narrator.
I highly recommend that new readers dive into the DCI Ryan series and also Dr Alexander Gregory series of crime novels if they enjoyed this.

Disappointed.
I have enjoyed the previous books in this series however I found this one very disappointing. I thought the story was weak and very predictable. Sorry LJ Ross but I hope future books in the series get back to your excellent usual quality.

garbage
The time of the story gets shorter and shorter...just over 5 hrs...and with audiobooks churned out one after the other the content is boring and a bit of a con....feels like a writing formula followed and it just isnt working anymore ....waste of a credit and will avoid this auther now

Just Mills & Boon really
Unrealistic plot, investigations and sickly love story, but subjective so others may enjoy etc etc

So very disappointing.
This is surely not by LJ Ross? It's awful. Corny. Very, very disappointing. I shouldn't think it's even worthy of being published by Mills and Boon, not that I've ever read any M&B which are probably marvellous by comparison.
