Summary

Nearly everyone is familiar with holograms - three-dimensional images projected into space with the aid of a laser. Two of the world's most eminent thinkers believe that the universe itself may be a giant hologram, quite literally a kind of image or construct created, at least in part, by the human mind. University of London physicist David Bohm, a protégé of Einstein and one of the world's most respected quantum physicists, and Stanford neurophysiologist Karl Pribram, an architect of our modern understanding of the brain, have developed a remarkable new way of looking at the universe. Their theory explains not only many of the unsolved puzzles of physics but also such mysterious occurrences as telepathy, out-of-body and near-death experiences, lucid dreams, and even religious and mystical experiences, such as feelings of cosmic unity and miraculous healings. Now featuring a foreword by Lynne McTaggart, The Holographic Universe is a landmark work with exciting conclusions that continue to be proven true by today's most advanced physics, cosmology, and string theory.

Excellent

Very well researched, and deeply thought provoking.
The nature of consciousness needs to be investigated. Our potential can only be imagined.

Fantastic Book

Loved every page, amazing listen. The research even made my girlfriend think about things differently after looking up some of the studies, and she is a or was a true nonbeliever.

a very thought provoking book.

i can honestly say that this book has changed the way that i see things. some people might think that some of the claims are a bit reachy, but there is much food for thought.

The long awaited audio version - well delivered

A wonderful exploration of the multiple realms that can be better understood from a holographic perspective. Lots of well documented research, interesting connections and anecdotes. A bunch of ideas i still don't quite accept, but i didnt buy it to maintain my present understanding and welcome the challenge. I'll be listening to it all again in the near future.

Phenomenal rubbish

You might as well believe in the enterprise at Star Trek. If anything in that book in the first chapters would’ve been explained, it might have been quite interesting but it is full of sentences that in themselves make very little sense. Yes, you might think that my review makes no sense, but my God this is a lot of rubbish.

At best, half truths, but mostly paranormal babble

Mistakenly bought this book in the belief that this would be be an exploration of how the holographic principle as developed by the likes of physicist Leonard Susskind resolves the black hole information paradox within the framework of string theory, which it certainly is not. Promising start that rapidly becomes unlistenable for large chunks of the play time.
