Summary

Book 4 in the Chronicles of Uriel Ventris.

Having escaped from the insanity of the Eye of Terror, Uriel Ventris and Pasanius face an epic journey across a hostile world in their quest to get home to Ultramar.

Listen to it because....

After their close encounters with Chaos in the Eye of Terror, see what Uriel Ventris and Pasanius do next...and how even torn from their Chapter and everything they know, they remain Ultramarines to the core.

The Story:

The Ultramarines are the epitome of what a Space Marine Chapter should be. Warriors without peer, their name is a byword for discipline and honour, and their heroic deeds are legendary.

Uriel Ventris and his battle brother Pasanius are exiles from this great Chapter, banished until the completion of a deadly mission in the hellish Eye of Terror. Yet even once these two Ultramarines return to the Imperium from the depths of madness, they find themselves trapped on a war-torn world where warp-tainted rebels hold the balance of power. As the pair try to save the planet from the Ruinous Powers, they find that they themselves are suspected of being in league with the Dark Gods, and their chances of a triumphant return to their Chapter look bleak....

Written by Graham McNeill. Narrated by Bruce Mackinnon. Running time 9 hours 32 minutes (approx).

Better and Better

I really struggled with these boys in blue tales at the start but they are really getting much better with each new tale, I am still not convinced that the narrator is right for the job but at least he isn’t overly annoying

Could not stop.

I could not stop listening, something about this book gripped me. The story was on point, even though it didn't jump from action to action, there was something about it, it was almost like a detective novel getting bits of the puzzle as it went along, I was hooked.

Another Epic

Brilliant change of pace bringing you back from the warp and into the imperium of man once again with a story that emphasises just how close to the brink some of the worlds of the emperor’s followers are.
This book is yet another perfectly crafted block of ceramite used to build the black cathedral to the god emperor of mankind.

In his name.
