Summary
Sixteen years ago, Princess Halla of Yshrem saved the life of an eight-year-old barbarian boy and watched her kingdom fall to ruin, all on the same day. nice little tale
this is a pleasant fairy tale, for grown ups. I enjoyed it, but nowhere near as much as ice planter. I think I may have become addicted to Alien romance. oops.

Leaves you smiling
I absolutely loved this novel when it came out and was thrilled when the characters turned up later in another book. This book is has such sweet moments it definitely is one of my best remembered books, leaves me with a smile wondering about a prayer book....
The audio did not need two narrators but that is a preference rather than a reflection of the performance or style of the narrators
I enjoyed the audiobook, but if honest, I loved the book more
......I will however strongly recommend another book by this author where these characters turn up ... “bound to the battle god”.
The book is brilliant but the audiobook that accompanied it is awesome. The narrator does not tell the story, she is part of it.

Best RD book yet
This was way better than the title made me assume. There is some utterly addictive and lovable about a H that is devoted to the h. He met her when he was 7 and she 16. Now 16 years later he comes back for her and won't let her go. She is the centre of his universe, and she can't resist his masculine warrior persona, and his devotion , border line obsession with her. The spice was good and completely centred around her.
Really good narration and enchanting story.
