About this listen
Since he first began the Shannara saga in 1977, Terry Brooks has had a clear idea of how the series should end, and now that moment is at hand.
As the Four Lands reels under the Skaar invasion - spearheaded by a warlike people determined to make this land their own - our heroes must decide what they will risk to save the integrity of their home. Even as one group remains to defend the Four Lands, another is undertaking a perilous journey across the sea to the Skaar homeland, carrying with them a new piece of technology that could change the face of the world for ever. And yet a third is trapped in a deadly realm from which there may be no escape.
Filled with twists and turns and epic adventure, this is vintage Terry Brooks and a fitting end to a saga that has enthralled millions of fans around the world.

ITS A SHAME
firstly I'm gutted thats the end of the journey but glad I have tried to get my head round listening to the story rather then reading.
for me I was disappointed to begin with at the level of detail you get in a book to the narration.
however after getting through a few episodes I absolutely loved it. you can't compare it to reading a book or watching a film its totally different. Once you accept that and get your head round it , then its plain sailing.
I have read and reread ALL the shannara books so looking forward to starting off at the beginning with Audible and enjoying listening to them while I'm at work or indeed sailing.
would I recommend the series to hard-core TB fans and the answer is yes.
you just have to accept its a slightly different experience but nevertheless a good experience.

last story
Good but perhaps a little too long with some unanswered questions at the end

Box office material
The narrator was brilliant throughout the 4 books, and I was well impressed with the gripping storyline. Can't wait for the TV series 🤞

The Rule of Three
This book started right where the Stiehl Assassin ended, no lead up, which left me a little adrift until I could get back on track. That said, this book did not disappoint. Three storylines, each with their own dramatic adventures and some will not make it through to the end.
I loved it, especially as it had an ending. I have found more and more authors choosing to leave books open ended so that the reader can make up their own mind. Its a lazy and frustrating trait.
