Summary
THE INSTANT NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLER
____________________
A moving new novel from the beloved author of Tuesdays with Morrie and The Five People You Meet in Heaven
When the Nazis invade Salonika, Greece, eleven-year-old Nico Crispi is offered a chance to save his family. He is instructed to convince his fellow Jewish residents to board trains heading towards the east, where they are promised jobs and safety. He dutifully goes to the station platform every day and reassures the passengers that the journey is safe. Only after it is too late does Nico discover that the people he loved would never return.
In The Little Liar, Nico's story is interweaved with other individuals impacted by the occupation: his brother Sebastian, their schoolmate Fanni and the Nazi officer who radically changed their lives. As the decades pass, the consequences of what they endured come to light.
Exploring honesty, survival, revenge and devotion, The Little Liar is a timeless story about the harm we inflict with our deceits, and the power of love to redeem us.

A must read book from a brilliant author
I've started listening to books because of eye problems. This the first novel I've listened to. it is an incredible story that had me at times enthralled, then horrified, close to tears and crying at one point. it's truth held me and I found it difficult to stop listening. It is also very tender and beautiful in parts, A love story and a story of extremely powerful hate, but also a story of hope. "Never again" has unfortunately been repeated in other places, and the cry is repeated again in different languages across the world.

Heart wrenching
I loved the accuracy of this story. The heartbreaking reality of the holocaust. The challenges people faced in countries, concentration camps and in the aftermath of the war. The story of four people intertwined for decades. The truth will always set you free, such a lovely, yet sad fact in this story. Another beautiful novel by Albom.

Must read
This book is an honest tragic story of what we can not and should never forget.
I listened to it and came away not only educated on a part of history that I would not have known but also that reminds the reader that nothing good has or even comes from a place of hate

Amazing
Mitch could be my favourite author. I love most of his books. Not all. This one is as good to me as Tuesdays with morrie and the first people you meet in heaven. Loved the story. Loved the narration. It made me think. It made me hope.
