About this listen
Adam Collins buys an old cottage by the sea to relax when warned that his high pressure job could lead to an early heart attack. But ghosts of a nearby fishing village that, many years ago, collapsed into the sea return to haunt him. Soon, he is drawn into a supernatural world which increasingly threatens his future through strange events that unfold.

Nice enough ghost story
This turned out to be a 'nice' ghost story, rather than a frightning one. The story of a man, separated from his wife, who goes to find himself in a small cottage by the sea. The cottage is close to the shore where a village was swept away in the 19th century. He starts to see visions of characters from the village, and then starts to see the village itself, as it was. He actually goes to the village and meets and talks to the characters there. From there the story develops,,,, Pleasant enough story, but I'm afraid it was rather spoiled for me by the narration. It was spoken much too quickly, with some curious phrasing in places. There wasn't much of an effort made on characterising the various voices, or acting the story.

This book was so amazing!
This is the most original haunting story I have ever read. It is not a haunted village the whole village is a haunting it had been lost back in the 1800s and for some reason only Adam can see it. At first he is eagerly excepted when he walks into the end, but Adam doesn’t know what is in store for him and what his new friends are capable of. This book as I said it’s so good I highly recommend it to anyone who likes haunted stories. I loved it

Creepy ghost stoey
An inventive well written creepy ghost story. When Adam buys a rundown cottage on the site of a lost fishing village, he begins to become involved with its ghosts. I really enjoyed this story it kept me on the edge of my seat to it shock ending. Narration by Howard J Davey really works well and brings the story to life. Great listening for a stormy winters night. I received a complimentary copy of the audio from the author and an leaving a honest voluntary review.

Feels as though you are there, in the lost village
Very interesting and atmospheric storyline. There is a fine line between reality and what the mind sees.

A good read.
I really enjoyed this short story. It is more a ghost story rather than a horror and isn't the kind of book to keep you awake at night. There is a romantic twist in it and the characters are well developed. A really nice bedtime read. The narration by Howard J. Davey was excellent once again as it has been in all 3 books that he has done for Geoffrey Sleight. Highly recommended. *****
I was kindly gifted this book by the author and have left this voluntary review.

Exciting story
This is a great story! Takes you away to another (lost) world. We were gripped to the end and listened to it in 2 sittings. There are some wonderful descriptions of the worlds Adam inhabits and characterisations, perfectly read by the narrator. Makes me want to listen to more!
