Everyone knows that timing is everything. But we don't know much about timing itself. Our lives are a never-ending stream of 'when' decisions: when to start a business, schedule a class, get serious about a person. Yet we make those decisions based on intuition and guesswork. Timing, it's often assumed, is an art; in When, Pink shows that timing is, in fact, a science. Drawing on a rich trove of research from psychology, biology and economics, Pink reveals how best to live, work and succeed.

Very basic
I was encouraged to read/listen to this book by someone I work with. As a marketer with 20 years experience in several industries and sectors, I found this book, very basic, confused and naive.
The book suggests strategies that I used 10 years ago. Updated content is not very up-to-date in real terms and is what marketers have been doing for years as normal practice.
OK for newbies to marketing.

Excellent overview
If you’re questioning the validity of content marketing, you’ll be won over by this excellent introduction. While I found the pace and tone of the narration a bit slow and flat (changed speed to 1.25 and it was much better), the content is fantastic. It really helped me understand how much marketing has changed in the past decade or so. If you’re looking for a practical guide this may not be the best fit but it will definitely get you started in the right direction and help you decide which type(s) of content marketing fit your business best and some initial steps for creating it.
Thank you for the excellent work!

worst book in its class.
wish i could get that 18 hours back. how to i get a refund? seems like it was written for kids or idiots. and the voice of the reader made me wanna sleep. i powered through it thinking that maybe id learn something, but i did not. sooooooo much off the topic stuff was crammed in this mess. i want my 18 hours back. i could have listened to great books. i suspect that those who gave it a decent rating may have not heard good books yet. My first degree is a BA in PR, so its not new to me, but, still, this should come with a warning like a pack of cigarettes, that you will lost a chunk of your life and just get pissed off. oh, and the author says that he speaks all over the world, several times (stroking himself continually) and I don't get it, like how people call him back. He does seem like a smart guy, so maybe he can see this and TOTALLY CHANGE the book for the better. Take out all the personal junk (nobody cares) and YOUR gobbelty-gook. This may be the best review you will get Sir, because it MAY get you to improve the next edition. I did learn ONE thing though. The next time I think a book totally sucks and consider quitting it one third of the way through, I will listen to that inner voice, quit, and choose a different book.

Needs a REAL edit/editor
I was wondering when I saw that the book was OVER 18 hours (and most books are 6-8 hours) and THEN I found out “why”. EXTREMELY REPETITIVE! I REALLY tried to stay with it but after 3 hours listening time I just couldn’t take it anymore. Because it was recommended, I’m sure there are some/many great things about it. Because of that belief, I ordered a copy from Amazon so I could skip past some/much repetition and get to the “meat”/core of the reason I wanted the book in the first place. I suspect that the author just “cut and pasted” his many articles and blogs together and no one really took the time to EDIT the material. As an Audible book, I couldn’t recommend this book ANY less. Absolutely awful (because of the lack of good editing). I am VERY hopeful that the hard copy will allow me to skip a lot of that and truly LEARN (instead of just listening to the repetitive ramblings over and over). Hoping the hard copy is better.....

Great book, poor narration
This book is full of great information. No matter your job title, no matter your industry, there is information he that still help you better understand and reach your audience to improve your business. I highly recommend this.
The narration leaves a lot to be desired. This is the first book I've ever had to up the reading speed. He reads so slow! He would also inflect oddly sometimes, to make sure you get the little jokes he added in the book. I feel that bringing in a reader who didn't write this book would have improved the audio book tremendously.
I still highly recommend this, whether you read it or listen to it, you will learn a lot of valuable information.

Marketing Book with Rich Examples
This audio book informs you of several key points that show you how to carry out digital marketing successfully. The length of the book stems from rich, detailed examples and repetition of the information. The examples and repetition of the key ideas really help the information sink in, so I did find them necessary. I would definitely recommend this book to people starting out in marketing (as I am) and people who have been in the marketing game for a while.
