About this listen

From the New York Times best-selling author of the Night Huntress series comes a thrilling new look at the iconic origin story of Cat and Bones, as experienced by Bones, from the other half of the grave....

There are two sides to every story - and the sizzling, British alpha vampire, Bones, has a lot to say....

Ever wondered what Bones was thinking and feeling, when he and half-vampire Cat Crawfield first met? Or how their story might differ if he were the one telling it? Now, relive the beginning of Cat and Bones' best-selling love story through Bones' point of view, which reveals a darker, sexier take on their early days, as well as a deeper dive into Bones' past, the vampire world, and other things that Cat didn't see, when their story was told only through her eyes in Halfway to the Grave.

Cat had her say. Now, it's Bones' turn.

Brilliant

As always a story, I cannot put down or stop listening too. I love the fact that it’s now on audio.

a Brilliant Companion to Halfway to the Grave

Man! I Loved this. I really enjoy the Night Huntress Novels and I've gone back and listened to Halfway to the Grave at least Half a dozen times. Its such a great read. The Other Half of the Grave was insanely entertaining, especially because I know this story already. You would think that would make the story boring or predictable but it isnt at all. We find out what Bones was up to all those times he was away from Cat and while Bones is pretty expressive in general, knowing what he was thinking gives you a whole new perspective. It felt new and fresh and not at all like a story I'd read before and the Narrator, Will, did such a good Bones impression.
I know I'll be listening to this again and again.

So good to get the story from Bones’ perspective!

I loved the full-cast audio production of Halfway to the Grave so I really wanted to listen to Bones’ side of the story. While this one wasn’t a full-cast production it was still a fantastic book to listen to. Will M. Watt did a wonderful job performing this story. His voice was perfect and just what I imagined Bones would sound like.

It’s been a few months since I listened to Halfway to the Grave so I definitely felt like this was a new story and yet it was also familiar. I think it would work fine if a reader wanted to read this one without reading Halfway to the Grave.

The story does have what I call a soft cliffhanger but I knew going in that this was an ongoing series. There’s a part of me that still can’t believe how much I’m loving this series. It’s definitely not the kind of book that I would normally pick up but I am HOOKED!! 😊

Can’t wait for the next instalment !!!

REALLY REALLY REALLY LOVED THIS.
So good to hear this story from Bone’s side. The Night Huntress books are one of my favourite series, having said that I love ALL of her books and the narrators she gets for her audiobooks are fab. I hope Jeaniene continues this as she has finished it at my favourite part of the series. OMG can’t wait, thank you so much for this Jeaniene. I envy everyone who has yet to read or hear this 😆😆😆

Bones comes alive

I was really looking forward to listening to this, and it definitely did not disappoint, I didn't want it to end. I have read and listened to the Night Huntress collection several times; I loved the narration except for the voice of Bones, just didn't work for me. Will Watt however has brought him to life, no longer the Artful Dodger / Eliza Doolittle, instead a powerful and sexy master vampire, much more in keeping with the writing, love this version. This is a vibrant and seductive alternative perspective, not just a copy of Halfway to the Grave but a valid stand-alone, a very satisfying listen.
Would really love to hear more.......please?

amazing!

ive listened to all the series and i absolutely loved listening to bones' re telling of their story. would listen to his side for the remaining books in the series too. being able to hear his thoughts on the events and his feelings towards cat as they grew closer was amazing. tid bits about his past and his reasons for his actions throughout made me understand him better. as well as glimpses of what he was doing when not by cats side. sweet and yet heartbreaking at times. loved the narration. was perfect.

Absolutely loved it!

Loved to hear Bones' side of the story and that happened with Bones when Cat wasn't there! Absolutely loved Will M. Watt's narration. Not how I pictured Bones' voice when I listened to the Night Huntress series, but now it most definitely is!

Didn't work

This story really bombed because the narrator was not British! The story line was good delivered with all the excitement of a damp squid.
Cat and Bones but the Bones part was a waste.
