About this listen
There is a fine line between obsession and madness and Frankenstein just stepped across it.…
Escaping the guillotine, Victor Frankenstein is now posing as Doctor Stein, altruistic patron of the hospital for the poor. But in a secret basement laboratory he is harvesting body parts from his helpless patients, using them in his twisted experiments in a bid to create the perfect man. And this time he has help from a would-be pupil. His pupil seeks knowledge, but Frankenstein desires vengeance against all those who have tried to stop his terrifying work.
The first time he tried, it ended in bloody mayhem, but now he is determined that nothing will go wrong. He wants revenge and God help anyone who gets in his way.…

Another excellent adaptation
Where does The Revenge of Frankenstein rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
I found this audiobook to be a very interesting take on an old story, it would rank quite highly in the books I have listened to so far.
What did you like best about this story?
The story is very detailed & atmospheric as well as being brilliantly executed.
Which character – as performed by Sean Barrett – was your favourite?
Sean Barrett performs all of the characters really well but especially Victor Frankenstein & Alan Lang.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
No it took two sittings as the book is just under eight hours.
Any additional comments?
Sean Barrett's delivery on this story (just like 'Twins Of Evil') is absolutely superb, he has one of those sort of voices that is perfectly suited to the olden tales.

Frankenstein!
I was drawn in by the first chapter. Shaun's style always has me so engaged and wanting more. I haven't read a Shaun Hutson book for about 20 years, not reading much fiction books at all, so getting into fiction books again was a great pleasure with an author I can trust to tell a great story with 3D characters, realistic dialogue and attention to detail. I literally felt like reading the book again once completed. I look forward to reading more from this author.
