About this listen

The final novella set in the universe of James S. A. Corey's NYT-bestselling Expanse series. Now a Prime Original series. This story will be available in the complete Expanse story collection, Memory's Legion.

HUGO AWARD WINNER FOR BEST SERIES

Through one of the gates, a colony stands alone. Their supplies are low. Their defences, weak. The leadership is uncertain, and the community fragile. Huge alien beasts threaten the little they have left.

But the worst monsters are human, and the greatest dangers are the past they brought.

Good but feels incomplete

I really enjoyed both the content and the perofrmance. I do feel though that it just ended when it could/should have continued. Hopefully there will be a part 2?

Just as it got interesting the story finishes

This is more like an excellent beginning to another book. I got carried away with the story, looking forward to the next chapter. Then the thank-you for listening to Audible chimes in and you realise it's the end! I hope there are other longer books following this storyline. If this had been longer more stars would have been given.

" Dead men don't hurt. "

What had happened to Philip Nagata after abandoning his father's ship?
Another perfectly written and read (by Jefferson Mayes) b snippet from the Expanse.
But this was not the first time I have read it: where did I hear it before

Another excellent story from the Expanse universe

Having listened to all the Expanse series, being able to find out what happened to at least one of the characters after the destruction of the gates was very welcome. The story for me shows that Philip learned from his father all the things not to be but also how to deal with those who are those things. Unfortunately this also means becoming like his father for a short time but unlike him, accepting the consequences.
I think these short stories are nice for answering questions or expanding on certain subjects, Amos earlier life and why he left earth for one. My problem is that I refuse to use a credit on any book that is only a couple of hours long, and all these are too short for that. Lump them all together and I’d buy the compendium.
This one I should point out was free with an audible membership as was The Churn.

Disappointed

Vocally excellent. Contents lacking and leaves the listener disappointed. Not worth a whole credit. Would have liked to hear more about Nagata and his adventures
