About this listen
It’s an icy New Year’s Eve. Snow blankets a windswept Irish island as the wild Atlantic Ocean rages.
Six friends gather. It has been 10 years since the tragedy that tore them apart. A lot can change in a decade....
Childhood bonds are now lifelong secrets.
Dear friendships have twisted into deep jealousies.
A happy reunion is shattered by a dead body.
The celebrations have barely begun when one of the guests goes missing. As the snow thickens, the body is found.
Then the storm wreaks havoc on the island. Everyone is trapped–there is no way out. No electricity. No phone signal.
Nobody knows who to trust. No one is who they seem. Because one of them is a killer, and one will be dead next....
An utterly gripping thriller that will have you hooked until the final jaw-dropping, heart-racing twist. Fans of Catherine Cooper, Lucy Foley, and Ruth Ware will be glued to this unmissable locked-room mystery.

Twists at every turn
Really entertaining and well-crafted 'Whodunnit', with a back-story also which unfolds. Looking forward to the author's next novel.

Not a thriller, a detective story
I found this book really dull. Maybe could be better reading the book, as the narrators voice is quite 'gentle', hence takes away any suspense. Not that there is much suspense. What I will remember of this book is a detective trying to learn Irish (so as to speak to the locals) than any details of a complex murder mystery. Wont be reading any more of the series, as that's what I suspect will be coming.

few well written parts
The story and characters was quite basic. There is the odd flash of brilliance with descriptions, but these are taken away by the basic dialogue and weak plot "twists". Without giving a spoiler, there is something that happens, that if revealed at the start of the story, there would have been no story. But the big reveal at the end doesn't distract from how the main character (Cara) could have had an easier ride, yet held on to the information until the end because... you know.... drama

excellent book
I loved this book. great story with enough twists to keep you engrossed.
I loved the description of island life, and the acknowledgement of the importance of Irish in our Gaeltacht communities.

Terrible
Written like a bad school essay with too overused and over use of adjectives. Ridiculous breathless narrator reading a boring who cares if they were all to die story. So twee also. Avoid
