Amazing book even for the parents
I recently found the perfect book for my shy child and I highly recommend it to other parents. The book is an excellent resource for helping children become more socially confident. It provides step-by-step advice on how to start and maintain engaging conversations, making it a valuable tool for any parent and child. Chapter 3 taught me valuable skills about the art of conversation that I can practice in my own life. I even shared these skills with my partner, and hope we can be good role models for our child. The narrator of the book is engaging and easy to listen to as well. Thank you so much for this great resource!

Excellent Tips to Overcome Social Anxiety
In her companion book to The Confident Teen, Marnie David once again masters the ability to talk to teens in a relatable and understanding way. While that book addressed confidence and self-doubt generally, this book focuses like a laser beam on social anxiety and fear of social situations. Using the acronym “social” to divide her chapters into specific skills and techniques, David guides the listener through steps to become self-aware, face fears, engage in meaningful conversations, and even initiate conversations with strangers.
Strategies include challenging negative thoughts, mindfulness, active listening, using open-ended questions, handling silences, reading the room, being authentic, and more. Speaking of authenticity, the author includes many real-world examples, including her own experiences, which help the listener take the author’s excellent advice to heart. The narration is supportive, confident, and enthusiastic.

Ultimate Book for Shy Teens
I was searching for an audiobook like this for my teenage daughter to help with her shyness and boost her overall social skills. I listened to it first and I must say that I really enjoyed it. I think its a great resource for all teens that are feeling a little socially awkward in school and have a tough time to make friends. I think the best learning outcome from this audiobook is starting and maintaining meaningful conversations which is a skill that I actually needed some pointers on. My daughter is currently listening to it and she likes it as well. She said the chapter that is about building real friendships has been her favorite so far. Great audiobook!
